Several months ago we confirmed our rental of the Siesta Royale Penthouse for two weeks in March 2013 and, in fact, we are still here as I write this. The owner, Paul Parr, was exceptionally responsive to all of our questions prior to our arrival; emails were often responsed to within hours of our inquiries! Paul was available upon our arrival and spent time with us explaining the condo's features as well as local attractions and restaurants. Paul has remained available throughout our stay.
The condo is clean, bright and equipped with just about anything we might need, even including a blender and Bose sound system with individual speakers and volume controls in every room including the balcony and bath! The beach is directly across the street; there is an unobstructed view of the beach and gulf from the open living area and large balcony. The Balcony is huge for a single bedroom condo, large enough for the two recliners and a table with four chairs where we've eaten most meals. Reserved parking is provided for one car which is good because you can park it and forget it! The Village, where shops and restaurants are located are an easy 15 minute walk away. You'll only need your car if you leave the Key or want to visit Turtle Beach at the far southern end of the Key.

I had read your review online this morning before I left for chores that needed to be completed before I went to the office at Siesta Sunset Royale for the rest of the day. As if the review was not pleasing enough, having you and Kathy stop by to reserve two weeks in paradise for 2014 was a real plus and more than made our day on this unusual cloudy, but warm day on Siesta Key. Most of our rental guests plan on returning, but we always know those guests who are truly smitten with Siesta Key and condo #408 when reservations are made for the following year before departure and our calendar for 2014 shows your legions are growing. I truly appreciate your patience in working with me, Comcast and Panasonic on the plasma TV issues and am looking forward for the firmware update to arrive and resolve the channel changing issues.

We spent a week in the Penthouse the first week of December 2012. It was our first visit to Siesta Key and definitely won't we our last! The condo is beautiful and the view of the beach and the Gulf of Mexico are breathtaking!! Paul and Nann are very accommodating and Paul's tips of fun things to do and great places to eat were fabulous. We love Casey Key Fish House and Star Fish Co.!!! This was the most relaxing vacation we've ever been on! We can't wait to go back!

This week our son and his family are here from San Francisco and they found Star Fish to be a fascinating and fun place for lunch. Our 3 year old grandson Hayden, watched the fisherman unloading their mullet catch and wanted to help with the repairing of the fisherman's nets. Old Florida locations like Star Fish are becoming rare in Florida.

This was our second visit to Siesta Key and our first time at the beachfront penthouse. The condo had all the necessary amenities you could want. The weather was perfect! We were there week of USa Thanksgiving weekend. It was a wonderful vacation to take right before the Christmas rush. My favorite part was being able to have our breakfasts and dinners on the patio and as well just relaxing with a glass of wine. The view is incredibly spectacular. We definitely would recommend this penthouse to anyone and definitely planning to come back!! Paul is a very pleasant person and so informative with all the activities surrounding Siesta Key. Thanks Paul for your wonderful hospitality.

We had a really good time at Siesta Key. The condo was very nice and included just about every amenity you could want. Paul, the owner, was friendly and helpful. My favorite thing about the condo was sitting outside on the balcony and taking in the amazing view of the Gulf. Other really nice things about the condo were the elevator, the in-room washer/dryer, the fully equipped kitchen, and the flatscreen TV in the living area. Siesta Key was beautiful and we enjoyed going to Siesta Village for dinner (good food, live music, island vibe). My personal favorite activity was walking the beach before sunrise and stargazing, a very peaceful and being one with nature kind of feeling:). When we weren't relaxing or playing at the beach, we visited Busch Gardens (1 hour drive), Ellenton Outlet Shops, and spent time in Sarasota checking out the boats on the Bay, the shops on Main Street, and the amazing farmer's market. Overall, best vacation I've had and highly recommended!

This place didn't skimp on the amenities. Spent a week there just after Thanksgiving and couldn't have had a better time. The condo is well appointed, everything you could want or need was there, just had to bring ourselves. If you were a little cool, there were throws on the couch and chair. If you wanted music, the stereo was great and there were also Dvds to watch if you were a movie buff. Hitting the beach? All the beach equipment was in the closet. I love that there were ceiling fans too. If you like to cook, great pots and pans and knives, etc. The view of the beach is great. You can hear the surf from the patio. A quick walk and you are on the sugar sand beach. Very nice to have info on local restaurants too. All in all it was a wonderful week, we hated to leave.

The location of this property can not be beat. Right across from the beach!! Hugh balcony to sit and enjoy the view. The entire wall facing the Gulf is sliding glass doors. You have a beautiful view anywhere from the open floor plan of the living room/dining room/kitchen. In fact, washing dishes is a joy with a view like that!! The condo has absolutely everything you need from a fully furnished kitchen to everything you could possibly want for the beach. Not far from Siesta Key village which has some great restaurants. Siesta Key has always been one of our favorite destinations. Now after a few years off, we are happy to be back and this condo is one of the reasons. Paul is a great owner to work with. Thanks Paul for everything. We definitely plan to come back!!

This is our second Visit to Sunset Royale. A fantastic condo in a fantastic location. The amenities along with it's location make this my favourite holiday destination.
The condo itself has everything you need to make a perfect holiday with spectacular views over Siesta Key Beach.
Siesta Key Village is within a 15 minute walk which means you don't have to take the car out at night - you can just easily stroll along Beach Road into the Village and enjoy numerous Restaurants and Bars all serving great food with a great atmosphere.
We went specifically to play golf which we did in abundance. There are so many golf courses in the surrounding area. We played 9 rounds of golf, only playing one course twice. Many of the courses we played this time were different from the last time we were in Siesta Key and we still have quite a few we didn't play !!! This area really is a golfers paradise. For Golfers reading this - Serona and Sarasota National down in Venice were probably our favourites.
Shopping is also a must with the Prime Outlets Mall (so many bargains it's unbelievable) only 20 miles north at Ellenton and Westfield Mall only 10 minutes drive away. A spare bag will be required to carry it all !!!
We will definitely be back - the friendliness of the area, beauty of the beach, tough and interesting golf courses and of course stunning accommodation means it's a must for us.Response from Paul Parr - 12/02/2010

Playing golf while staying on the Gulf makes an ideal holiday for the golfers seeking a warm and sunny beach holiday while pursuing their favorite sport. Nann and I can't help your game, but we do make sure that you will have no bogey's when your not on the course. We've stayed at a lot of condos on vacation, and this one, by far, was the best place condo we've ever rented. We enjoyed everything about it! The condo is in a perfect location, right across from Siesta Beach, and also walking distance to the village. It's also close to the fabulous restaurants on Turtle Bay. Owners provided everything you need to enjoy your stay (including chairs, coolers, floats, beach toys, kitchen supplies, etc). Will definitely make plans to return!

This was the first time in over 10 Yrs that my wife and I have taken a vacation with nothing planned for when we got to our destination. Upon our arrival we quickly saw that there was no need. It was like moving into a new home for a week. We went grocery shopping and we were set. There were even cook books to plan our meals. Having a 2 and 6 year old the washer and dryer right in the unit were perfect. Paul and Nann were very helpful with places to eat and where to shop for the freshest fish and meats. The open living area was perfect for us to keep and eye on the kids while preparing our meals and for entertaining. Paul let me know prior to our trip that there was a computer in the unit for checking email, weather and news or just looking up information so I didn't need to bring my laptop. This was the best vacation we have had since our honeymoon. We will definitely be returning at least once a year. It felt like Paul and Nann were extending their home to our family.
There were books and movies and even some current magazines for our enjoyment while we were there. The kitchen was fully stocked with cookware and place settings. There were beach toys and chairs, sunshades, and even water toys.Response from Paul Parr - 07/06/2010

Perfect, just perfect, is how I would describe our fifth stay at Sunset Royale's one-bedroom penthouse condo this past February and March. Nothing can improve on the view of the Gulf. Usually turquoise or deep blue and calm, the water's mood changes with the weather. Dark grey crashing waves add drama to the rare rainy or stormy day. Regardless of the weather, the condo is always friendly and cozy, the lanai beckons and the sun warms our bodies even when the temperature might be on the cool side. And, if we get bored with the view or tired of "just relaxing," there is plenty to do in the Sarasota area and communities near it. We love Siesta Key and #408 at Sunset Royale! What more can we say?!

When I arrived at the condo a little after you folks arrived with the girls, I will never forget Meg repeating the comments from Hal and the girls when they first entered the condo and walked toward the open balcony with Jessica and Halle saying,. "We don't want to go out to eat we just want to stay here all the time!" and Hal chiming in, "cancel the fishing charter, we're not going to miss out on any time at this beach and condo." First thing you experience as you walk through the door is the wall to wall window leading out onto a beautiful large balcony. The view at sunset is as good as you will see. Condo has everything you require from beach chairs to all the utensils to make a gourmet meal. Siesta Key has the real Island feel to it, one of the nicest beaches with powder white sand, the Island village makes the ambience very laid back. I suggest renting a bike and tour the island along with beach to really get the Island feel. We will definatly be back, the next time we come we will come when the weather is warmer ,December was a litle bit chilly .

We found the condo on Paul's very informative website (www.sunsetroyale.com).
The Beachfront Penthouse at Siesta Key Public Beach is ideal for a perfect relaxing vacation. Paul and Nann, the owners, have put a lot of thought into providing their guests with everything they will need to make their stay a truly relaxing vacation.
The condo is very well equipped with everything you will need during your stay :-
1. Bose sound system in every room and balcony.
2. Fully stocked cupboard containing comfortable beach chairs, loungers, beach umbrellas and much more.
3. Kitchen cupboards are stocked full of different types of herbs, spices and condiments, as well as every kind of utensil you will require if eating in.
4. Utility Room containing Washer and Dryer in condo was a bonus.
5. Outside open balcony contains up-to-date furniture and a large umbrella to keep the hot sun at bay whilst watching the pelicans dive into the warm waters of the Gulf.
The location of the condo is in a perfect spot, just across the road from the the beautiful white sandy beach. The condo is just a 10-15 minute walk into the village where there are a variety of excellent restaurants and bars (some with live music).
Paul and Nann are excellent hosts. After 8 years of vacationing at different accommodations on Siesta Key, we have found our "home from home".Response from Paul Parr - 10/06/2009

The condo was bright, clean, spacious with king bed. An incredible sound
system was a plus, with flat screen TV and DVD player (with movie
selection!) Huge private balcony overlooking the end of the public
beach- white powdery sand and open ocean for miles in each
direction. Could not have been better. Siesta key is an upscale,
quiet, perfect beach area that feels more like Key West than Tampa.

My husband and I stayed in Paul & Nan's flat last October. The
property is extremely well equipped (seriously, the owners had
thought about pretty much everything), and the views from the terrace
are fantastic.
The beach opposite the flat is quiet & family friendly. The village is not
far from the condo, and there are some good restaurants and bars
worth trying. And the centre of Sarasota is only a short drive away.
The owners live next door and are always at hand to help.
We had a fantastic time - well, we were very lucky with the weather,
plenty of sunshine and warm nights. -

If you are looking for a beach vacation look no further that this place. Wow ...one of the best beaches in the US and for that matter the world. Awesome view, great tunes (Bose System throughout)very clean and priced right. We are returning next year and are looking forward to exploring more of the Sarasota area. Great Bicycle trail.(legacy Trail) if your a biker..bicycle that is..The place comes completly stocked all you need is drinks and sunscreen. Paul and Nann are great hosts and met us with a cold one after our long drive from New York. Have fun and watchout for the sun its not like the sun in New York.
