wE got back from our vacation at siesta key, we stayed at la siesta condos. Unit # 119 the condo location is perfect just steps to the pool, the pool is very clean, very quite, which we liked but if you are looking for action this is not the place, there is some activity on the beach. Beds are very comfortable, lots of linens but not beach towels, if you are more then three people bring your own. T.V. In the small bedroom never worked, coffee mugs and dishes are all chipped, the unit only has one bathroom which made it very inconvenient, maybe if it had two instead would have been worth while, the shower is as slow as Molasis, it takes forever to rinse your hair. The beach is to die for, we have been all over the Carabean and never, never seen a beach like siesta, white beautiful sand and so H-U-G-E.
Will I go to la siesta again - no its not worth the money
this is for allison at the office/ you could be a little more cheerful, don't be scared to smile to the tenants.

We (four adults) stayed in a condo at La Siesta for 10 days. We were on the fourth floor overlooking the pool and we were able to see the public beach from our screened in balcony. The rooms were large and comfortable. The decor was early 70's, but comfortable. The condo was very clean and was very well-equipped including coffee maker, microwave, kitchen utensils, beach and bath towels, beach umbrella, beach chairs and hairblower. Maria (at front desk) was very helpful and we asked for extra beach chairs which we received promptly. All other requests were received with a smile and prompt service! The public beach is directly across the road and so it was very convenient to be able to not worry about having to look for a parking spot. It was nice to be able to come back for lunch or snack while on the beach. The pool was clean. There were Bbq's available for use. All in all, we would most certainly return!

We loved this place! You get to see pictures of each unit online and pick the one that you like the most. Our unit was beautiful. It was better in person than in the pictures. We had a nice view of the beach and pool. It was spacious, everything was very nicely taken care of and had everything we needed. Kitchen was fully stocked with plates, cups, pans, etc. The unit had plenty of beach chairs, umbrella, sand mats, buckets for the kids to play in the sand, beach towels, mask and snorkel, frisbee and football. We had enough towels in the unit. Furniture was nicely taken care of. Tv in each rooms (2 of them plasmas), DVD Player. The unit was nice and clean when we got there.
The condominium was also very nicely taken care of and clean. The grounds were nicely taken care of. The club house had a brand new ping pong table and a Pool Table. The clubhouse and the bathrooms in it were well kept and clean. It has a very small gym (we did not use it). Pool was sparkling clean. You get to park under a carport, so your car does not get hot. There is an elevator for eac th building.
You are right across from the beach. You just need to cross the street and the parking lot for the public beach. It is a short walk. You do need to walk a little to get to the water because it is a big stretch of sand. But, what a beautiful sand it is. It maintains itself cool, so it really is not a big deal. It was hot, but the sand stayed cool. There are lifeguards at the beach. It is a public beach and there are a lot of people. It did not bother us. We would move to one end where there were less people. The Condominium has a hose in the parking lot where you can hose things down to remove all the sand before going to your unit. It was convenient since the sand is so fine it does get into everything. There is also a shower next to the pool, with hot water. The condominium does have guest parking. There is also a grill in the parking lot that you can use. I do not know where the grill utensils were, did not see any in our unit. There is also washer and dryer on the floor we stayed in (I think they are available in each floor). They are recycle friendly :-).
The units have screened in balconies. From our unit we could not see the sunsets because of the way the beach faces. So, sunset was towards the side of the condo instead of right in front on the beach. It really was not a big deal at all. One day we were at the pool and still caught the beautiful colors from the sky as sunset happened. The rest we were right on the beach.
We were requested to leave the unit the way found it. Which we did. They included washing for some towels and the bed sheets for the 2 twin beds and the queen bed. We received an email around 3 to 4 weeks after our stay that a check was on the way with our deposit (should be about to get here). So... it seems like we did not have an issue with our deposit. We did leave the unit in the same condition as it was given to us.
There are a lot of rules for the Pool and the Pool deck. They do not allow balls, inflatables, diapered children, food, drinks. You may want to ask for the pool rules prior and verify you are okay with them.
Loved it. Plan to stay here again. No issues. Friendly! Highly Recommend it! -

My family and I rented a condo within this community last year at the end of July. At the time, we were traveling with a 3 year old and a 7 month old. The pictures looked nice and it seemed to be in a great location when we were searching so we chose La Siesta. We arrived after a long trip from Ohio and everything was beyond our expectations! The grounds, we could tell, were very clean! The check in process was so simple and we slipped into our condo shortly after checking in. The condo we rented was extremely clean and beautifully decorated. Our patio balcony was facing the beach, which was even better! The condo had everything we needed for our week long stay! To top it off, at the end of our trip, we headed back to Ohio with amazing memories captured on our camera. We got all the way to Kentucky when we realized that our camera was gone! We immediately contacted management and they were so wonderful. They checked the condo we stayed in and it was in the same place we suspected we left it! They immediately shipped our camera back to us! We expected that to be taken out of our deposit but it wasn't. We got our camera back, thanks to management and couldnt have been happier. Overall, this place is the only place we will stay on our trips to Siesta! It is such an amazing value for all that you are getting! I cant say anything negative about our experience. Can't wait for vacation 2011!
