The keys were left in the unit because we arrived late. The condo was very clean and we liked the penthouse on top as we had many guests in the condos and then we had a celebration of life for my cousin Joanie. She planned a renewal of her wedding vows for the weekend and Joanie passed away a week before from pancreatic cancer and she had planned the weekend with catering so we went with the plans and people flew from all over. The D.C. friends released purple balloons on the beach and threw bouquets of flowers into the ocean. Purple is the color representing pancreatic cancer. The morning we left for Texas my husband and I saw the most beautiful rainbow over the ocean from our car and Joanie's sister, saw this from her condo and know this was a sign from God. I would recommend that the owners would provide coffee and shampoo for the price and that is my only recommendation. We had a wonderful weekend and wished we had more time to take a dip in the ocean. We did use the pool and it was great. I would love to come back again and Joanie actually recommended 11 north. I have fond memories of Siesta Key Beach as our grandparents lived there starting in the 50's.

The apartment was superbly cleaned and supplied. It even had items for children to play in the Ocean! The gentleman in the scooter - I forgot his name, but he was in the Usaf was vey helpful and affable.
Covered parking, nice view, TV in every room!

We loved staying at the Island House. We've stayed several times in Siesta Key before, but this has been the nicest, closest place to the beach that we found. The condo looks better then on the pictures. Usually it's the other way around. It was spacious, remodeled, clean and very comfortable. It had everything that we needed. It has a beautiful view on the beach, and it's so close to it. There is a shuffle board right outside, and there is also a game room and a pool on property. My kids loved staying there. The game room had air hockey, pool table and ping pong - for free. There is a washer and dryer in the condo too. We stayed there over a long weekend, and the in-laws stayed in the condo across the hall, which worked out great. It's so private there with only 2 condos across from each other. It couldn't be better. It was very quiet and we had a great time. We would love to come back to the Island House.

We love the Island House! The view is beautiful and it is very comfortable. You can open the windows on the porch and as breeze blows in you can see the beautiful water. It is very clean, however the only problem we had was if you left any food out, there was ants. The price was a little high, but worth it. We go back whenever we can.

We recently spent two weeks at the Island House on Siesta Key (Sarasota).
The Island House apartments and villas are beach side and are on one of the deepest sections of beach. You can walk the sugar sand stretch and run into thousands including many returning guests you've met before or stay secluded up on your own private section.
Its walkable to everything you need and short drives to everything you could want on a great spring break vacation.
The management at Island house is among the best also, we've been to Island house a dozen times. The specific 11N unit was very clean and comfortable, we did have a fridge problem but they fixed it and I heard they are giving us a break on our pricing next year because of the food we lost. We always cook and 11N had the best equipment ever. Island house does need an outside grill. Bring your own beach towels with you. Enjoy.Response from Island House Beach Resort - 04/17/2009

We loved the location and views. The beach is great. The condo had ants for about 6 of the 14 days we were there - nothing big - just those little "ghost ants" as they were called. The living room lounge chair is a bit worn - leaning to the side. The rest of the stay was fabulous. Never did get to the pool but it looked great too. We definately plan to come back - especially if we can get a condo on second or third floor facing gulf. Thanks so much - the people at the office were always helpful too.
