Description

Sifnos is often called “The Jewel of the Cycladic Islands” or the perfect island. A 2013 Huffington Post article recommends Sifnos as the ultimate Mediterranean gate away: “The tiny island of Sifnos is a world away from, the bustling cruise ship and tourist scene in neighboring Santorini. The white-washed villages and quaint churches against the backdrop of the Aegean’s stunning blue waters is the essence of Greek charm. It’s a perfect place to appreciate the slow rhythm of Mediterranean life.”

The house sleeps 5 people. Myrto Kostika, a renowned local architect, built it in 2006 to reflect Cycladic tradition while providing modern comforts. Located in a tranquil spot along the road between Apollonia and Kastro, it is no more than a 15-minute car ride from the main port of Kamares, beaches, shops, and restaurants. For more leisurely access, marked footpaths guide guests to sights around the island. Sweeping views from windows and patios are of the Aegean, framed by the dramatic hilltop city of Kastro, and terraced hills dotted with churches and windmills. Enjoy outdoor living on the patios that are furnished with chaise lounges, dining tables, grill, and an outdoor shower. Stone floors and 3 m high wooden beamed ceilings enclose the interior (120 sq mtr;1300 sq ft) that includes 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, a great room, and a storage room. Audiovisual services include satellite TV and FM stereo radio with speakers in the living room and outdoors as well as telephone and broadband WIFI. A washing machine is located in the storage room.

An additional downstairs 35 sqm (400sqft) guest suite with bathroom and kitchenette which comfortably sleeps 2 can also be rented.
