Newly renovated in the summer/fall of 2010, this cabin provides an extraordinarily private setting amongst the towering evergreens of the original cabin colony. The intimate privacy, yet a short kick and glide from the heart of Silver Star Village makes our property absolutely one-of-a-kind! The location of the Stellar J is arguably the finest on the mountain. Where else can you find this level of privacy, while having all of the amenities of Silver Star literally 1-5 minutes walk away? Walking distance to the village center is 2 minutes, Brewer's Pond for skating 4-5, with the same for Tube Town. Ski-in access is off of the Comet 6-pack, Green, or Alpine Meadows chairs, with a small ski-way literally right in front of the cabin. Ski-out can be through the village to the Comet or Green chairs, or with a very short walk the Alpine Meadows chair or down to the Silver Queen chair.
Part of the special ambiance of The Stellar J is the fact that the cabin itself is found mid-way between Pinnacles Lane and Silver Lode Lane. A short 25 yd (25 M) walk from either access road brings you to the front door. Parking is in Parking Lot A off of Silver Lode Lane.

My wife and I stayed with a group of friends at the Stellar J and had a great experience. The location is ideal for ski in/ski out and is only a short walk from the village.
The cabin itself is really well done up, and it's clear that the owners put in a lot of attention to detail in their renovations. The private hot tub is right outside the front door. The entrance to the cabin also has a really convenient coatroom to hang up all of your gear without getting the cabin living space covered in melting snow.
We highly recommend the Stellar J and will most definitely stay there again! -

The Stellar J is everything a cabin should be. I have stayed at this cabin on several occasions; I am never disappointed & am always impressed. I honestly could not say enough about this place. This cabin is cozy yet clean & modern. It is stocked with everything you could need for the weekend, week or month. Despite being just a short stroll to the village the cabin is still nestled privately away under giant mature trees. The few steps from the road to the front door adds to the privacy of the cabin. The hot tub makes the for the perfect skiing day's conclusion; what could be better to nurse your tried sore bones back to health for the following day? The fireplace is perfect to cozy up in front of for the evening & also proves to be handy for drying out wet mittens & socks. It is a ski in & out cabin to ensure your days are not spent hiking to & from the cabin at the days beginning, end or for your lunchtime break. I recommend this cabin without hesitation.

We loved our cozy cabin stay at The Stellar J. Everything about this cabin is stellar...What a lovely spot to ski back to; nestled in the woods and yet just steps from the village and lifts. The owners made sure we had all we needed and then some. We were truly spoiled in this adorable and unique cabin. Such a refreshing change from condos! We are seasoned ski travelers and this by far is our favorite skiing destination and accommodation. We shall return.
