A tranquil and peaceful surrounding, it is ideally for year round use. We are, just under 2 hours from Toronto, 15 minutes from Midland, 10 minutes from Historical Penetanguishene, 40 minutes from Barrie, 40 minutes from Wassaga Beach, less than an hour from collingwood, and some of Ontario's best slopes, such as Snow Valley, Horse Shoe Valley, and to the west Blue Mountain. There are many activities and events to enjoy throughout, such as Hiking, Horse Back Riding, Fishing, Canoeing, Swimming, Biking, Rock Climbing, Atving, Snowmobiling, Skiing, Skating, Live Theater, Cinemas, Penetanguishene Cruises, Antique Shops, Spas, etc., Plenty to keep everyone ocupied.

"The Tiny Trail is a 23 Kilometre recreation multi-use trail. It was one of Ontario's first rail-to-trail conversion when it was purchased in 1978. It is registered as part of the Trans Canada Trail System. Its southern terminus is at the Tiny/Flos (Springwater) line 1.5 Kilometres north of Elmvale. It runs roughly west parallel to Country Rd 6 and then angles northeastward to its north terminus at the southern town limits of Penetanguishene. The trail passes over prime agriculture land and into areas of hardwood forest. The Wye River and Copeland Creek meander across the trails. There are 14 historic bridges on the Tiny Trail, 11 of which are located between its northern entrance and Concession 12 E. This section of the trail is paved, the remaining trail is surfaced with crushed stone.
The Tiny Trail is a shared use trail and permits a wide variety of uses, such as hiking, biking, horse back riding, dog walking, snow shoeing, cross country skiing, etc. Atvs and snowmobiles are permitted by permit only, which are available at the Municipal Office." 705 526-4204
There are 70 Kilometres of shoreline, in which consists of 5 large water parks, designated to public use and activity. The Jackson Park....Blue Water Park....Woodland Beach......Balm Beach......and......Lafontaine Beach, which is a five minutes walk from our location.
The Wye Marsh
"The Wye Marsh Wildlife Centre is located on 3,000 acres of wetland, fen and forest in Midland, Ontario. The Centre includes an Amphibian and Reptile Hall, hiking, biking, skiing trails, canoeing and kayaking routes, an observation tower and boardwalk, birds of prey display, education classroom, event facilities, gift shop and Naturalists on staff."
