Accommodation at El Mirador is self-catering luxury. The apartment is tastefully furnished and comprises two double bedrooms en-suite plus a further double bed with it's own toilet and wash basin. The unit has two living rooms for entertaining with an open-plan kitchen. The unit accommodates six persons and you will never share with any one else even if you are just one couple.
Guests have an astounding view over False Bay with Simon's Town yacht basin and the naval harbour in the foreground. Furthermore, an expansive balcony provides the ideal outdoor-living lifestyle which the famous South African weather so generously permits.

I have to say we had a lovely stay at El Mirador, the veiw from the balconey in the evening is wonderful overlooking the harbour, the apartment is spacious and clean and there was everything we needed for selfcatering, Just a short drive into the town all in all we were very pleased with our choice and have no hesitation in reccommending.

El Mirador está situado en Simon’s Town, a unos 45 minutos de Cape Town.
Tiene grandes vistas a False Bay y desde aquà se puede recorrer toda
la penÃnsula fácilmente. El apartamento tiene capacidad para 6 personas, con 3 habitaciones y 3 cuartos de baño (uno de ellos no tiene ducha).
El dueño es muy amable y te puede ayudar a reservar tours o darte información sobre lugares de interés. Nosotros estuvimos una semana muy a gusto;
es un lugar precioso. -

Mimo ze to juz moj drugi pobyt w apartamencie El Mirador kolejny raz potrafilem zachwycic sie urokiem tego miejsca... Przepiekny widok na gory i zatoke False Bay ktory towarzyszl nam przez caly dzien - od sniadania na wygodnym tarasie do wieczora. Apartament bardzo wygodny i swietnie wyposazony. Polozenie w sam raz do zwiedzania Kapszatadu i okolic. Wszyscy w 3 jestesmy bardzo zadowoleni i dlugo bedziemy wspominac to miejsce takze dzieki Dennnisowi i jego goscinnosci. El Mirador is situated in a sheltered area of the mountain overlooking the port in Simons Town. Wonderful views and facing north west (I think) means it has the sun on the terrace all day. Furnished with just about all that you need including TV, radio and of course a braai or barbecue as we know it in UK or Ireland. An excellent laundry is available in town (40R for a wash) and Lulu the maid irons beautifully.
Dennis, the charming, urbane owner lives upstairs with two little dogs and keeps an eye on all that is going on. One dog is an excellent mouse catcher when the occasional little furry friend makes an appearance from the garden.
Excellent WiFi allows for internet access from your own laptop or device and a directors desk is provided. A prepaid telephone facility is also available.
My caption is correct. El Mirador has been booked by us for two months next year and our deposit paid...if you want it from late Dec to early Mar, you are too late, sorry!! -

Wir fahren schon seit vielen Jahren immer wieder gerne nach Südafrika in Urlaub. Wenn wir in Kapstadt sind freuen wir uns immer auf´s El Mirador und Dennis in Simons Town.
Wir lieben die schöne, ruhige Lage mit wirklich atemberaubenden ausblick (auch vom Bett aus :)) und fühlen uns hier immer sehr wohl.
Von hier aus ist man schnell bei allen Sehenswürdigkeiten die man in einem Kapstadt-Urlaub so sehen und erleben möchte.
Sollte es Fragen geben - sprecht einfach mit Dennis, er ist ein sehr netter und hilfsbereiter Vermieter! -

Wir haben die Zeit in El Mirador sehr genossen. Perfekte Lage zwischen Kaptstadt und dem Kap, ruhig mit einem atemberaubenden Blick. Es hat uns an nichts gefehlt, der Balkon und der gesamte helle und saubere Wohnbereich laden zum entspannen und verweilen ein. Vielen Dank an einen sehr netten und zuvorkommenden Vermieter!
We very much enjoyed our time in El Mirador. Located perfectly between Cape Town and the Cape, it is quiet and peaceful with an amazing view. I would certainly reccommend El Mirador. It is safe, secure and peaceful with spectacular views. The location is great, just a walk away from the village, shops and beaches. The accommodation is spacious, clean and comfortable with a very helpful host.

As missionaries working in Lesotho we journeyed to Cape Town for a much needed holiday. El Mirador was just what we needed, close to Cape Town with all the advantages of staying in a small town. The views from the balcony were spectacular, the rooms were comfortable and well maintained, the place was idyllic! The only thing that eclipsed the beauty of this place was the generosity of Dennis, the owner. He made sure we were well cared for, even making us a dinner reservation with a table on the water's edge! All of this during the Easter holiday and Two Oceans Marathon! Dennis is the picture of a gracious host, warm, friendly and he couldn't have been more helpful.
Each night we were lulled to sleep by the sound of waves lapping against the shore and we woke to the cries of seagulls. There is no better sleep remedy than clean salt air and the sound of the ocean! My friend and I returned home rested and full of stories to share with our friends. You are only 30 minutes from the excitement of Cape Town, 45 minutes from Cape Point, 10 minutes from Chapman's Peak and 5 minutes from the penguins at Boulders Beach. It is in the middle of everything!
I cannot highly enough recommend El Mirador as a place to stay while vacationing in Cape Town. In fact, I have already made recommendations to a few friends who plan to visit the Cape later this year.

My wife and I contacted Dennis, the owner of El Mirador, some months before arrival to make sure we would have a comfortable place to stay over the Christmas period. Dennis was kind enough to make restaurant reservations for us for both Christmas day and New Years eve. This was greatly appreciated.
The accommodation was as good as we had hoped for. The view is fantastic, the commitment and friendliness shown by the owner was outstanding and we had a thoroughly good time.
We have no negative comments to make and feel sure any visitors will come away more than happy. -

We had a wonderful time at El Mirador, the location is private, quiet, and with a spectacular view. What more could you want? Our host, Dennis, is a great guy, full of information and advice about what to do in Cape Town, especially where to eat! Would definitely go back.

Given its exceptional location,El Mirador has perhaps one of the most spectacular views Simonstown has to offer. You will profit fully from your stay as Simonstown is rich in history, character, atmosphere and warmth , you will also be neighbours with the whales, penguins and seals. We will never forget our stay as the hospitality we recieved there was out-of-this-world!!!The owner might just offer you some of his freshly made pesto if you are visitng within the right season:)
