Undoubtedly the ideal place for a couple to spend some fantastic days, a haven to escape routine e recharge batteries. A timeless scenario of literary romance which will transport you to stories of other eras!

The house has just one floor and a romantic and British inspired, but simple, décor. At the outside you have the kitchen and dinner room.

All the areas are simply marvellous, both inside and outside: the kitchen reminding us of country houses, the terrace with sun loungers and a pool, a fabulous inner yard with walls in stone, an area for meals and a sofa for moments of "dolce far niente", a fireplace to warm the cold winte...r nights of the mountains, in short, everything about this house is charming! And to top it off, every morning fresh bread delivered on your doorstep for a delicious breakfast!

Here you will lose track of time and spend some fantastic and certainly very quiet days! For two couples you can also choose the Casa da Azenha, near Casa da Burra but with the same privacy and comun pool.

But don´t forget that you are in the middle of the Sintra Mountains, a UNESCO World Heritage, with unique and romantic sites. A stroll around Sintra is the perfect programme for a couple! The property is located 3 km from one of the best beaches in the Sintra Coast.
Praia Grande (Big Beach) is famous for the scenic surrounding, excellent surf, restaurants, etc. Theproperty is in a paradise setting, surrounded by pine trees, away from busy roads or neighbours. You are 15 min by car from the Famous Sintra Village, 25 min from Cascais and 45 min from Lisbon. From the house you have access to wonderful walking trails to the beach and to the mountains.
Golf: The Quinta da Marinha course, set amongst beautiful pine trees and stretching down to Guincho Beach, has some of the most majestic scenery In Portugal. Its hole number 13, a par 4 descending to the sea, is a picture postcard of Portuguese golf.
One of the oldest and best-known golf courses in Portugal, Estoril was the location of the Portuguese Open Championship between 1953 and 1972. Many champions - including Max Faulkner and Seve Ballesteros - have walked the fairways of this course.
Quinta da Beloura, with fine views over the Sintra mountain range and a course surrounded by trees on flat terrain, provides a very pleasurable game of golf
The latest course opened on the Lisbon's Coast, designed by Rocky Roquemore. Its eighteen holes extend over 6,128 meters for a Par 72.

With the Arrabida mountain range as its backdrop, the Quinta do Peru Golf Course is the newest of the courses situated in a region of castles to the south of river Tagus.This is the first municipal golf course to be built in Portugal and is located in the very heart of Lisbon, close to the airport.The new course is part of Vila Nova de Santo Estevão, a residential and touristic resort specifically designed for single-family.

  Website pics were intriguing, location given as longitude/latitude, fortunately owner was listed as contact person. Being despertaly lost, we called, she found us & brought us to Casa Burro. And Casa Burro is a most magical cottage compound. Hollywood set designer could not have imagined a more romantic hideaway.
  Having flown overnight, we were exhausted. Fortunately, Paola had also prepared us a delicious lunch and stocked the kitchen so we were free to relax and recuperate.
  If you have a car and don't mind a steep set of stairs, you couldn't ask for a better place.
