The wing of a former Victorian powerhouse, this unusual property offers character-filled and comfortable accommodation for up to seven people. This beautifully converted wing of a former Victorian powerhouse has been restored to a high standard and offers well-appointed accommodation for the discerning holiday maker. The kitchen is very well equipped and has a spacious dining area an exposed brick wall with a fabulous Yorkshire Range as a centre piece. A wonderful spiral staircase in the kitchen leads to the two resplendent bedrooms and there is a luxurious bathroom with a corner bath and a further ground floor walk-in shower room. The sitti...ng room, with sofa bed, is spacious and relaxing, housing a feature exposed brick wall and beautiful arched windows. There is a magnificent shared enclosed garden and courtyard with a barbecue and the property is a super place to unwind and enjoy a restful holiday.

Region: The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Town: The charming former fishing village of Skinningrove is close to many attractions and is only six miles from Saltburn with its Italian Gardens and water balanced cliff tramway. Whitby is within easy reach at 15 miles away and is a fascinating place with its magnificent Abbey and association with Bram Stoker. Skinningrove is on the Cleveland Way, which starts in Helmsley and is 110 miles long and passes through some fantastic scenery. There are shorter routes on the walk that can be followed, some just taking a few hours. Staithes is close by and for such a small place has a wealth of history including being the home to Captain James Cook. Skinningrove offers the holiday maker a super base for a holiday.Read more

All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  The property is large and airy and in beautiful scenery and attached to a minig museum, there is ample car parking and a shared garden with barbecue and garden furniture.
  Inside the rooms are spacious and nicely furnished.
  What lets this property down is the bathrooms both upstairs and downstairs, the shower upstairs is electric and inadequat and the dirty shower curtain and rail were tied with string.
  The shower room downstairs was another electric shower but the spray head was broken and was unusable, the downstairs toilet broke after the first flush and the seat was hanging off and despite reporting this to the owner nothing was done despite a promise to fix it.
  Also some of the appliances were poor quality, the cooker was old and when you try to open the door the cooker moved instead.

  relaxation in style

  Heritage Grove was a perfect base for a holiday on the north east coast and being able to take our dog was a bonus. The cottage was really well appointed with loads of character features - especially in the kitchen and beautifully clean throughout. There are lots of lovely rugged beaches to explore around Skinningrove which we enjoyed even in February. There is a small local shop and a Co-op in a nearby town. The spiral staircase makes the most of the space although may not be suitable for everyond. Sadly, the mining museum was closed during our stay as it was out of season - but that is a good excuse to return!
