This former Victorian powerhouse offers light, airy and stylish and unusual accommodation for up to 10 people. This is a superb conversion of a former Victorian powerhouse, just 800 yards from the sandy beach in Skinningrove. Skilfully restored, the property has many fine, original features. The entrance hall has a magnificent staircase leading to a galleried landing with a leaded glass dome, and the relaxing sitting room has beautiful arched windows with sea views and a cast iron fireplace. The kitchen is modern and well equipped with a generous dining area, and the bathroom with its roll top bath entices the guests to have a luxurious soak... at the end of the day. The four bedrooms exude character with exposed beams, quirky windows, and sumptuous décor; two of the rooms enjoy en-suite facilities. A shared enclosed lawn and courtyard can be enjoyed outside.

Region: The North York Moors National Park covers 554 square miles, with landscape ranging from heather-clad moorland and deep secluded dales, to the cliffs and coves of the magnificent coastline making it a haven for walkers.

Town: This former fishing village is on the Cleveland Way, and visitors will find a collection of interesting houses and a good variety of shops and a beautiful sandy beach within its boundaries. As well as being a fishing village, Skinningrove was part of the Ironstone Mining Industry and there is a museum in the area that charts the history of this industry. Saltburn is just six miles away and has retained much of its Victorian charm, including the pier, colourful Italian Gardens and the oldest water balanced cliff tramway in Britain, well worth a visit. Skinningrove is ideally placed as a base to explore the dramatic scenery of the moors and the many coastal towns and villages in the area, making it a great holiday base.Read more

All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  We had a great holiday together as our extended family. The house was prrfect for our needs especially with the extra bathrooms. Everything was welcoming and friendly. The outside space was good and plenty of space for play. The beds were comfortable and large kitchen was great. Beautiful beach just down the road.

  power house is a excellent place to stay,close to Saltburn which is a great place to visit, the house is big enough for the large family to have their own space,large kitchen for family meals and 4 sofas in the lounge. good beach 10 mins, however the village is quite run down leading to the beach, There are great walks all round if you have dogs.Although we had a great holiday,one thing we were disappointed with was that we had no contact with the owners, no-one to meet us on arrival, the bath tap did not work and the kitchen light blew midweek, each time we rang the contact number there was no answer, leaving a voice message did not get a response. The final gripe is that there is another holiday let next door and because the house is one large place the adjoining wall was paper thin and all conversations could be heard We would stay there again however, next time we will know what to expect
