With glorious views of Stafylos Bay, this well appointed propertie offers some of the best accommodation of its kind in Skopelos.

Reached from the main road by a steep winding driveway, these pretty cottages stand on a hillside just above the bay of Stafylos. Stafylos and Velanio beaches are a ten minute walk or a couple of minutes by car. Just above Staflyos beach is a lovely traditional taverna. A couple of tavernas are also found near the cottages, within a five minute walk plus there is a super market with most daily essentials, including fresh bread, within a 15 minute walk towards Skopelos Town. A bus stop is located 100m from the accommodation, with the bus taking approximately 10 minutes to reach the lively waterfront of Skopelos Town whilst in the other direction, the bus heads down the length of the island stopping at all the villages and beaches that line the West coast.

Stayed at the main villa in September. I would recommend booking the transfer package with spiritofgreece as it made transfers easier and they look after your bags if you have a wait. There was a lovely welcome pack on arrival. Milk, bread, tea, coffee, butter, jams and some lovely wine. This was very helpful as we arrived in the evening and did not have to shop for basics.
The villa was just as it looks in the pictures. Very spacious and comfortable. Tastefully decorated and of course the beautiful balcony and view. We loved sitting out there to have breakfast and evening drinks
The two maisonnettes are behind the main villa but you are not overlooked. We had a nosy at the maisonnettes and they looked lovely too but i think it is worth paying a bit extra for the villa. The pool area was very nice. So peaceful and relaxing.
We would definately recommend hiring a car. We shopped around for the best price for a jeep and got a great deal from magicars in Skopelos town. Skopelos is a beautiful island. There are so many lovely beaches and sights to see. We are not one normally for going back to the same place but i think Skopelos and Argo Villa could pull us back again! You will not be dissapointed! -

We stayed at argo 3 Maisonette which is attached to argo 2 at the top of a very steep drive. The view was lovely although the vegetation needed cutting back to let the heat get at the swimming pool which was on the chilly side. We had a wonderful time exploring Skopelos but would not stay in this accommodation again although it would be fair to say that the owners have done a really excellent job of renovating the property and it had masses of charm. Our best tip is to rent both maisonettes with friends/family as there is no soundproofing between the two properties and unfortunately our neighbours were totally inconsiderate and woke us most nights past midnight with what we can only describe as moving furniture around on the stone floor and clumping up and down the wooden stairs. Also, as is often the case in hot climates, sleeping dogs wake at 10.00pm and bark and howl with their mates for literally hours, and often until sunrise!! So all in all, it was a good job we could sleep on a sunbed during the day! Limonari was our favourite beach but take beach shoes as the rocks can be really slippery getting into the water. Fab taverna here as well but our best meal was in agnodnas and best view was in Glossa. We did find that the menus didn't vary much and with only one exception, all our meals were really enjoyable. The supermarkets on the Stafylos road out of Skopelos town were also excellent. Don't be put off by the long journey to Skopelos, we enjoyed waiting at Skiathos port for our connections and the Spirit of Greece agents, Dolphin Travel were very helpful.

We stayed in one of the maisonettes (with a swimming pool) at the Villa argo for 10 days at the end of June/beginning of July.
We were extremely happy with our choice, the villa was absolutely lovely with stunning views out to sea. It was very clean and nicely decorated. The bed was a bit too hard but we were happy with everything else.
The pool area was fine, there did seem to be a big ants nest as the floor was crawling with them - that would be our only complaint, but even then you soon got used to them!
It was lovely to be able to cook and sit out on the balcony in the evening, listening to the crickets and not much else!
It's about 4km into Skopelos town, we ventured in in the jeep a few times, left the jeep in town and got the bus back in the morning - car hire is essential if you are staying here! You can't rely on the buses at all!
There are two tavernas in walking distance, the furthest (about 5min walk) was good food, the nearest was awful and wouldn't recommend going there.
The best beach we found was only 5 minute drive away in Limonari, with a wonderful taverna to go for lunch. We also went to agnontas one evening (about 10 min drive) and had a wonderful meal at one of their beachside restaurants.
I would highliy recommend argo Villa and Skopelos - we had an amazing, relaxing holiday and really didn't want to leave!
