Galliwest is a 6 bedroom, 5.5 bath ski in/out rental home in Snowmass Village, Colorado.

Galliwest has just been extensively remodeled (completion November, 2010) and enlarged, making it the largest private home with ski-in-ski-out access available for rent in Snowmass. Through this remodel is retains a ski house charm yet with more space and more of a modern feel. It is in Woodrun I, the first and most prestigious of the on-the-mountain private housing areas in Snowmass. Snowmass is the largest and most popular mountain in the 4-mountain Aspen complex.

Galliwest is a great retreat for big families, multiple couples, summer gue...sts, skiers, outdoor enthusiasts and multiple families.

The Winter is a winter wonderland outside of our door with amazing views of the whole valley. Our skiing is known as some of the best in the world and Aspen's nightlife (only a 15 minute drive or bus ride) has much to choose from restaurants to art galleries to nightclubs. There is also the well known events in the Winter, such as the ESPN X-games, Winterskol and well known Concerts etc. In the summer one can enjoy hikes, bikes, rafting, outdoor concerts, wildlife, nightlife, and festivals (Aspen Food & Wine, Janus Jazz, Aspen Music Festival etc) just outside of our front door. Additional Location Information

Snowmass Village is in the heart of the Colorado Rockies. A 10 minute ride to Aspen Airport and a 15 min. drive to Aspen itself. With 4 mountains to ski in a 15 mile radius, this is a skiers paradise. Galliwest is located about a mile up Wood rd. which is the road that goes up the center of Snowmass Ski resort. The house is private enough to be quiet yet also only minutes away from shopping, groceries and bus lines to Aspen. We are backed up against the woods so out the kitchen you will see the solitude and beauty of Colorado including our regular guests such as foxes, deer, and elk. The ski in/out access will take you right out underneath the Snowmass Gondola and you can ski green runs down to the base village.

There are no other hidden costs for the rental. We can give you a slight discount of 3% if you pay with a check. Please write us for specifics on prices/times as we can work out other deals for longer stays, certain times of years, last minute bookings and so forth. If you stay for longer then 10 days we require a $250/housekeeping charge for a midweek clean.

  The house was fantastic. There was nothing negative we could say about it. We were 7 adults and 2 children and at no stage felt cramped. The facilities were great, the beds very comfortable and plenty of linen in the cupboards. The kitchen had all the appliances needed. There was a washing machine and dryer that worked efficiently. The managers (who live on site) were very helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them. The family wants to know when we will be going again. They can't wait. For a large group this is the perfect location and the perfect house.

  Galliwest -- it's the Best !!

  We just stayed at Galliwest -- one of the best ski accommodations so far. The house was clean, nicely appointed, spacious and a great location. The views were picture perfect. There were 11 adults -- there was so much room that we never felt cramped. The bedrooms were nicely appointed, beds were very comfortable, plenty of closet and dresser space and an individual thermostat for each room. With king beds and private baths in 4 of the bedrooms it was just like being at home except they had heated floors in the bathrooms(feels so good). The modern kitchen was fully equipped. The dining room table seated 14 which was great for our large group(also great views from the table). There was plenty of comfortable seating between the living room and the adjoining T/V area. There was an office area equipped with a computer, printer & WiFi (next time we will not need to bring a computer). The big bonus was that there was an elevator !! The house is really on 4 floors which contributed to the privacy you felt. As you walked in from the heated garage there was an area to put your gloves, ski goggles, helmets & etc... and take off your boots, hooks and closets to hang your ski jackets -- no lugging your belongings back to the room -- I would bring a boot dryer with you. There is on-site management who are very friendly and are very responsive to any maint. issues, problems or questions/info. A hot tub was the only thing Galliwest was missing. Maybe they will have one by the time we come back next year. If you don't want to rent a vehicle there is a Call-a-Ride service for $1 per person each way that will take you anywhere in Snowmass. All-in-all we all gave this place a thumbs up (gave it a 15 out of 10 rating) !!! and everyone wanted to know when we could come back. My response -- Asap!!!
