Driveing conditions from the house to main roads-1 star, you might want to go for the 4wd vehicle if you have the chance.
This was a great vacation for my family and I would recomend this to anyone looking for some peace and quiet!
Worst rental in Aspen
House looked much better on web than in real life. One good thing that it was real close to the mountain. We had more issues with the renting agency than the house itself. Few examples - Dishwasher did not work and agent never got it fixed. Maids were to be there on alternate days but were not. Hot tub was awfully dirty. We arrived on Saturday but could not use the hot tub till Tuesday evening. Originally we had e-mailed to check out on 15th via atleast 10 e-mails, but somewhere along the line agent changed the check out date to 16th. It took a while to change it back to the original date. This was the worst experience we had in Aspen with the rental agency. We have been coming to Aspen for last 15 years for 2 to 3 times every year.

This home is one of our most popular moderately priced vacation rentals. The guest's reservation was made through an outside travel agent and not directly with the First Choice Properties. The original dates of the reservation, 3/7 to 3/16, were paid and confirmed with the travel agent, with confirmation also sent to the guest. On March 8th, when we were made aware of the change in dates. After confirming same with the guest, the reservation was reduced by one day and a refund given. This was done as a courtesy to the guests, eventhough considered non-refundable per the terms of the reservation contract.
There was never a call to the manager for any problems with the dishwasher. Upon checkout, when asked "how was their stay", the guest said they found many dishes to no be cleaned. When asked why they hadn't called to report the probelm, she responded with a "laugh". The housekeeping services that were included with the stay were 3 daily services- these were provided on 3/9, 3/11 & 3/14.
At 9AM on the day of their arrival, the guest called to report the spa not being cleaned. At 11:30 on that same day, our technician arrived at the home to check the spa. It was completely clean and only had a few leaves in the tub.
It is always unfortunate to see that a guests stay was not 100% to their satisfaction, however, it is very difficult for us to remedy any situation or problem if it is not brought to our attention in a timely manner. Our staff and maintenance department are available 24/7 and we pride ourselves on the quality of our properties and the service to our guests. To state any problems after checkout does not give the manager the opportunity to make repairs or to address any concerns.
