Group from MO and IL
Dexter, MoA Great Place to Stay
Left on 02/03/2010 for a stay in January 2010
We have no complaints about the service we received through First Choice
Properties. Maureen was very helpful as we were looking for arrangements
for our group. She helped us find a house that would fit our needs and our
price range. While we were there, the maid service was more than adequate
and we were provided plenty of firewood as well as snow removal.
The home was even nicer than we had imagined. It fit our needs well with
plenty of rooms/beds for our group. The kitchen and bathrooms were
wonderful - newly decorated - and the kitchen was very well supplied.
There was plenty of space to spread out and have some privacy, as well as
cozy areas to spend visiting. The living area downstairs was nice with the
ping pong table and computer. All the furniture was attractive and comfy
and the whole home was decorated beautifully. It was a wonderful home to
spend our vacation in. There was even a working elevator which was a help
to us flatlanders in toting suitcases and food up and down. It was also great
to have a hot tub a few steps from the door.
It's too difficult to say what we liked best, because we liked it all. The only
drawback for us was that we have been used to staying where we have been
a bit more accessible to the slopes and to the mall. As Maureen had told
us, it wasn't a long walk but was a bit of a hike for those of us who aren't
used to the altitude. We had a couple of six-year olds with us and getting
in and out was kind of a chore for them. We also have some in our party
who attend a conference twice a day at the mall area, so they were required
to drive there. Overall, we decided that even with the bit of inconvenience,
it was a great place to stay.

Newton, MAA very nice place for a medium-large family group.
Left on 01/27/2010 for a stay in January 2010
This is a very nice house. Well equipped and once you find your way, fairly convenient from a ski-in and ski-out perspective. We stayed there with 3 adult couples and four very young kids. The two master bedrooms and all of the bathrooms are great, as is the bunk room for kids. The only limitation for us was that the twin bedroom is a little small, especially if you have adults in it and need to bring in something like a crib. The house is also fairly sound proof, which is good with a large family group. Finding the house for the first time in the dark was a little tricky, as was the drive way since it had snow and ice, but once we found the built-in heater for snow melting, there was no problem. I would highly recommend the house (4.5 stars) and gladly stay there again.
