Abingdon, VAChristmas at Wabasso #2
Left on 01/02/2013 for a stay in December 2012
We recently spent four nights at Wabasso #2, over the Christmas holiday. The condo was great - plenty of space for the four of us, our two grown sons, and our Lab. Two nice bedrooms, upstairs bedroom was very large with full bath. Also a full bath downstairs. Living area was spacious with nice fireplace (wood provided). The condo is in a great location between Top of the World and the Village. Upper Flume opened our last ski day providing easy access to the slopes. About 30% of the mountain was open, conditions were excellent! Prior to Upper Flume opening, we rode the shuttle or walked (10 minutes) from the condo to Ball Hooter, an easy trek. Getting in was easy, we left the cars parked after arrival - no need to drive.
The condo was great - all appliances appeared new, everything we needed to "eat in" was provided. Suggest you bring food, shopping is limited. Dinner in the village was fun, many places to choose from. Shopping in the ski shops provided a nice surprise - the prices were much lower than we expected.
Overall a great trip - we would definitely revisit Wabasso #2!

Wilmington, OhioSecond time at Wabasso #2!
Left on 02/10/2012 for a stay in February 2012
We returned to the Wabasso #2 for the second time (Feb 2010). This unit is very clean and open. Our group likes this unit and will return again. About a 2-3 minute walk to the slopes. The furniture wasnt the most comfortable, but it is what it is. We will be back to stay at Wabasso #2...hopefully it will snow next time.

Mooresville N.C.It was great!
Left on 02/03/2010 for a stay in January 2010
We have stayed in Wabasso #2 several times before and it has always been a great experience, of course great snow helps. We like the size of the condo and the proximity to the village and the slopes. We also enjoy that almost every time we come, several deer meet us, and we are actually able to hand feed a couple of them.
We look foward to returning next winter, and are considering coming up this suumer as well.
