This was a wonderful condo in a great location on the Mountain. There was not a lot of snow when we first got there but by the time we left there was enough snow to qualify as ski in ski out! The condo has first rate decor, comfortable quality furniture and appliances and a well appointed kitchen. The hot tub stole the show after a "hard" day of skiing. We will definitely be back! We were treated extremely well by the ladies of Mountain Valley Properties and will contact them for our next trip to WV!

A great place that was better than advertised. Accomodations, ski access, village access, amenities inside and outside. Ten is a good number for this unit, more could be a small issue. Considering the snow year we had, the skiing was decent for this late in the season. Would come back to this unit in a heartbeat for a second visit. Everyone involved from management was great and helpful. Mvp ,you did real good

Potomac, MDGreat, Convenient, and Cozy Ski in and Ski out lodge

I really liked the location of the place. The photo of Lodger's Run 5 did not do the place justice. It was a lot bigger and roomier than expected. It is right next to one of the longest green/blue trails as well so made it very easy for us to start the day. We didn't have any water or electricity problem. There was a shuttle that took us to the village and dropped us off right in front of our lodge. Overall, we had a great time.

Greensboro, NCGreat Weekend!

We were all pleased with the accommodations. Being slopeside on a green slope made it great for all to come and go. The weather was very cold -1 to 9 degrees so it was nice to be able to come in and warm up. We could have used a few more blankets and a few more glasses in the kitchen but overall we were very pleased. And a snow shovel in the garage would have come in handy to shovel the snow away from the front door and off the balcony.
We did notice that Snowshoe is trying hard to improve its service and facilities to compete with the ski areas of the northeast. The snow was great and the lift lines were short so we will be back.
Debbie at the rental agency was very easy to work with. We will try to rent from her again.Response from Mountain Valley Properties - 02/03/2011

Richmond, VAloved being slopeside
Left on 02/12/2010 for a stay in February 2010
Having young children, the slope side location is wonderful - less hassle with
transporting equipment and easy to hop back in for a snack or bathroom
break. A few things that were frustrating...hot tub malfunctioning, sliding
back door (leading to hot tub) frequently got stuck due to getting off track. We
had to leave the door open for a few hours one day until the men got back to
help us close it - Brrrr! And the pilot light on the gas fireplace went out
frequently. Chris the technician was able to pop in a few times and
temporarily fix these things. Tip for winter visits - bring humidifiers as the air
is very dry in the house. -

Roanoke, VaReview of Logger's Run
Left on 03/08/2009 for a stay in February 2009
We spent 2 wonderful nights at Logger's Run. We had 22 people and rented Logger's Run #5 and #6. We have stayed in Logger's Run units before and particularly like this location because the slopes are right at your backdoor. We had the best time and our group did a "scavenger hunt" while we were there and got to know everyone on the mountain. I will always recommed renting from Mountain Valley Properties, they are great to work with.

Virginia Beach, VAGreat place...Good, Prompt Service
Left on 02/23/2009 for a stay in January 2009
For the past 7 years, I have put together a Snowshoe, WV Guy's Trip (I know...sounds dangerous). The first 4 years were spent down at the base of the mountain...the next 2 in a Logger's Run unit owned by a friend. This year, the friend decided to go out west so, being bitten by staying up on the mountain, I decided to keep the trip in Logger's Run.
After doing some research on the web, I quickly found how much more affordable a Logger's Run unit was through Mountain Valley Properties (MVP) instead of booking through Snowshoe! I asked myself, "There has to be a catch..." Well the only catch was that check-in and check-out were done at the base of the mountain instead of the top...a very very minor issue.
When we arrived at 11:00 am on the mountain, they actually allowed us to check in early...this allowed us to dump our stuff in the place and then head out the rest of the day on the slopes. The staff there was very cordial and inviting.
Stepping into the unit, everything appeared clean and in order. There were a couple of wall blemishes (a hole near the kitchen) but all were already accounted for before we checked in. Bathrooms were clean, rooms were tidy, and linens were stocked.
The only complaint that we had to call in was how dirty the oven was left from the previous renter. The first night, we preheated the oven for a meal we were preparing. After a couple of minutes, we smelled and saw smoke. Apparently, the previous renters had a major catastrophe with a pizza they were baking. Cheese and grease filled the bottom of the oven. Fortunately, MVP was very responsive; they sent someone the next morning to clean up the mess.
All-in-all, all of the guys on the trip were very happy with the place. We will definitely rent from them for future trips especially this unit!
