We just wanted a get-away (from MN) for the holiday! We knew of the beaches in the area, but not the town and Nina was a gracious host - giving us restaurant suggestions nearby, as we chose not to rent a car for our stay. There are plenty within walking distance - it's best to make a reservation. This location is so convenient - the beach is a block away and The Coaster (commuter train) is 2 blocks from this place. Several days we got a Regional Transit Pass that allows you to take any train, trolley or bus all day - so we went to the San Diego zoo, Coronado Hotel and Imperial Beach, stopped in Olde Town for dinner several times. Delightfully, we got to meet famous surf photographer, Aaron Chang, at his shop in the Cedros Design District of Solana Beach - what a treat! The accommodations were comfy, it was a bit chilly at night and we greatly appreciated the space heater. The orange tree outside the door was a visual treat. I loved riding the bikes on the beach! Thanks Nina!

Tempe, AZPerfect in everyway for the two of us!
Left on 04/04/2011 for a stay in April 2011
We were not sure where we were going to stay when it came to find somewhere that wasn't already booked up due to the Good Guy's car show being in town (which was the reason we were there). We found this little cottage online and took up the offer. We fell in love with this little place and felt so comfortable! Way better then any hotel stay since we had more privacy but also just have a beautiful scencery around us was even better. After we woke and made our own coffee with the in house coffee maker (loved that because it saved us even more $$$) and had a bit of breakfast (the little kitchentte has a fridge, microwave, and coffee maker but no stove but there is a wonderful offered gas grill right out the door! so who needs a stove right?). We walked down the picture perfect street and when we arrived at the stop sign there was the ocean and to the left was HWY 101 with all the shops and dinners. It was perfect! we didn't have to drive anywhere we were right where we wanted to be! We enjoyed our stay and how close we were to everything (including the car show). We will definitly be back again and hopefully for a longer stay! Thanks for everything!!!

Des Moines, IANice cottage
Left on 04/04/2011 for a stay in March 2011
The location was great with a reasonable price. Very clean and nice design to space. Beach is within walking distance but not overlooking ocean. It is in a nice safe feeling neighborhood. I was concerned about the street parking but there was always a space. Comfortable bed nice romantic cottage to retire to after a day sight seeing or after a day on the beach.

Dover, New HampshireMuch too small
Left on 04/03/2011 for a stay in January 2011
We were left totally on our own. Sugar, coffee, etc were not replaced. Thought it included a small kitchen but it only had a microwave.
Outdoor lights were not on at times so approaching door was sometimes dangerous. Price was too high for the accommodatons.Response from Nina - 04/03/2011
Owner
We are so sorry that you were not happy with your stay. Especially sense you are the very first person ever to complain about the Cottage accommodations?
We do not provide food or beverage for our guests. We would be happy to try & accommodate a request prior to arrival.
Our listing states that there is a queen size bed, 400 sq ft with a small alcove w/certain appliances. (micro/refridge/toaster and coffee maker). We are Sorry these amenities did not meet up to your expectations.
The out door lights switch is located to the immediate left of entry door. That switch controls three outdoor patio lights. This was explained in your welcome letter.
$79 per night off season? Best deal in town. Thank you for your review. -

Separate house behind the main house, shares a patio. Gas fire pit a nice touch on chilly nights. Close to beach and a few restaurants.

The cottage was tucked away in a cosy neighborhood and not far from the beach. We were never disturbed and felt right at home. We would do it again.!
