If you're looking for an Alaskan vacation adventure where you can do everything from one convenient, clean & quiet location in a very cool Bear-themed cabin, then the Alaska Leisure Inn is the place for you. With a large log bunk bed and two single beds, it's perfect for a couple and 2 children, or 4 adults. (ATV and Harley rentals only to guests staying here with their own insurance.)

Centrally located in on the beautiful and abundant Kenai Peninsula, you're just minutes away from world-class fishing on the banks of either the Kenai or Kasilof Rivers, a short 10-minute drive to downtown, and less than 90 minutes to either Homer or Sewa...rd. With reasonable rates for such a spacious and well-appointed unit, you'll experience a memorable Alaskan vacation with us, combined with fun and relaxation in a quiet setting convenient to every activity.

Jump on our Harley-Davidson Softail Classic and check out the scenery on your way to Seward or Homer. Rent our Rhino side-by-side 4-wheeler (with cargo bed in back) and track down some moose on the miles of scenic trails surrounding us. From woodpeckers to gray jays, moose grazing in our yard, to migrating caribou, the wildlife viewing is spectacular. Trek off the beaten path and discover wild berries and other goodies. Take off for a guided river or halibut fishing experience -- we can help you get there.

Being able to come and go without a lot of traffic or people is what folks like about staying here. Our two separate units (see other listing on this listing service) provide clean, quiet space -- close to town and all fishing, for a perfect Alaska vacation.

Join us for an evening beverage around one of two firepits, play croquet, or just sit back and relax on your own front porch and try to stay up for the sunset and sunrise; they're only a few short hours apart! Whatever you choose to do, you'll enjoy coming home here to your roomy and quiet cabin unit.

Please remember and respect that we offer LODGING ONLY with kitchenettes, fresh eggs, English muffins, butter, coffee and condiments -- plus ways to easily cook (BBQ, toaster oven, microwave, coffee pot, large electric frying pan, fire pit, waist-high refrigerator). No full sized stove/oven. Limited fishing equipment (net, cooler, freezer and FoodSaver). We will help you find other accommodations if you require full-on meal cooking to feed your party; we are basically a nice hotel room with some cooking stuff. No processing of large quantities of fish onsite.

***If you're looking for a cheap place to flop for the night and a place to clean boatloads of fish on-site, keep looking (NO DIPNETTERS).

***No special rates. Compared to other operators, we believe you'll find us to be a great deal for the space, cleanliness and hospitality. We are NOT a fishing lodge. Open only from May 20th through Labor Day.

Our hosts were AMAZING! The cabin was very clean and comfortable. We saw moose and baby moose walking in front of the cabin every night. The location was perfect to do multiple activities every day. We will definitely go back again. We highly recommend this cabin!

Bed and breakfasts, no matter what they look like or where they are, are only as good as the people hosting them. This is a well cared for operation run by two very nice people interested in your having a good time. Whether it's fishing or just relaxing, they will guide you or leave you alone to just enjoy. Conveniently located just outside (website: hidden), it is quiet and cozy. I was traveling on a motorcycle and they were quick to make sure I had everything I needed in case I didn't have something. I would and have recommended this vacation spot to my friends and family and look forward to my next visit there.

  My husband and I have stayed in both cabins. Each one is just right for an alaskan cabin stay. Each cabin is clean, neat, well-appointed with everything you need but nothing that clutters the space. Taryn has included an interesting collection of books about the area as well as some fun vacation reading, as well as the essentials for getting your coffee in the morning and simple meals, which is all you want in that environment. The armstrongs have lived in the area many years and so know and share all the local haunts, fishing spots, hiking trails, restaurants, etc. They are perfect hosts; they never hover or intrude but are always ready to help with info, gear, whatever. The price is right, the hosts warm and welcoming, the accommodations just right. You just couldn't ask for more!!

  We just loved the Bear cabin. We had a late arrival and they had everything ready to go. The cabin was very clean and modern. It was in a beautiful location where you could go for an easy walk after fishing. They even allowed us to use their freezer for our fish. We say Moose often and it was easy to find with the directions we were given. We wish we could have stayed longer.

  My friends I and visit the Kenai Peninsula every other summer for a week of fishing on the Kenai River. We have statyed in several different cabins in the Soldotna area but the Bear Cabin is by far our favorite place. Cabin is clean and comes with all the comforts of home. Taryn and her husband are great hosts and go out of their way to make sure you are comfortable and have everything you need to enjoy your stay. Great days on the river were followed by great nights around the fire pit. I would highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking to stay in the Sterling/Soldotna area. We will be back!

  We were there for 20 days and they were fantastic! From the minute we arrived we knew this would be our peaceful getaway and alaska Leisure Inn did not disappointment us... The surronding area provided us with tranquil walks with whispers of nature which lulled us to sleep at night. Mr. and Mrs. Armstrong serves up a bushel full of hospitality and fresh eggs, from their chickens, every morning!!The units are close to town but far enough to enjoy the sights and sounds of alaska's breathe taking scenery!We will be going back again soon.   Beautiful place in a great location, not far from town. Our stay at alaska Leisure Inn was unforgettable! The owners were so kind and we loved them so much we actually built a fire by the pit and hung out with them with our cocktails and s'mores one night! While hanging out a moose walked close by us, amazing experience. They provided us with fresh farm eggs, homemade rhubarb bread, and other bfast stuff to make in the mornings. They even sent over dinner one night, fried halibut, salmon, mushrooms, and onion rings and said enjoy! The cabin was clean and equipped with everything we would need. They also had a deep freezer right outside our cabin which was very helpful. We stored our halibut we caught in there. This is a must stay place, we will be back!
