I rarely go to the same place twice, but after an amazing vacation to MarCaribe last year, my extended family decided to return to the same spot this year. It did not disappoint! This house is fantastic. It is just a little piece of heaven. The house itself is stunning. Large and roomy, with an upscale feel, but comfortable at the same time. The house is split into two - really a duplex - each side being a mirror image. Both sides have a kitchen and 3 bedrooms and 3.5 baths. The only downside - and may be a plus for some, is that there is no connection between the two sides. For us, it was a bit of a bummer, but we had one side with younger children and the other side with teenagers,
The rooms are well appointed and decorated. All bedrooms hasve an aC unit, but the rest of the house does not. It was hot and humid in July when we went, but we knew to expect that and it is cool and breezy on the beach. The master bedroom (each one) has a gorgeous balcony, with a view of the sea beyond the palm tree leaves. The pool is right next to the house and ssteps down to hammocks under palapas and the Carribean Sea. The house is positioned on a bay, with a large reef at the end where the bay meets the sea. It is easy to get to the large reef - by kayak (provided) or even swimming. The snorkeling in the bay is beyond belief. We saw all sorts of fish, barracuda, manta ray, strong ray, lobster and sea turtles. Each night on the beach, sea turtle eggs were hatching we we watched the hatchlings fight their way to the water. Amazing! The house is in a somewhat isolated area, so there were no extra lights, therefor, the stars at night were a show unto themselves.
Elena and Pancho were wonderful - every day the pool was cleaned, beach was raked and deck was swept. Elena is a magical cook and warm person. The house was immaculate - and made again so every morning.
This is a true gem. A hideaway and place to get away from it all. It is not a place to go if you need to be entertained or need to be online. It is perfect to let it all go. -
Denton, TX50th wedding anniversary gathering

Perfect location and layout for our multiple families to get together to celebrate parents' 50th wedding anniversary. Villa, pool, beach and location were great for all- from ages 3 to 76, there were things for all of us to do. We had a wonderful stay despite a tropical storm. Elena and Pancho were great. We will be back again.
