      Family Ski Trip

Left on 03/14/2013 for a stay in February 2013

This was our 5th family trip to Solitude. We've returned over the years because of the location to the slopes, the nice accommodations, Club Solitude for our children who love to swim while the parents recover in the hot tubs, the great snow and variety of slopes to choose from. The staff throughout the village are very helpful and nice. A washer and dryer within the unit was great and allowed us to pack lighter. The location of this unit with multiple large windows and view of the slopes let in great sunlight in the morning.
The only thing we missed was a wood burning fireplace.

      Perfect weekend at Solitude

Left on 12/27/2012 for a stay in December 2012

We stayed in the condo for a three day weekend in December. The condition and location were excellent. The condo is well stocked and accommodated 7 people very comfortably. The ski lift is less than 3 minute walk from the front door and there is a retal shop directly underneath the condo (you may get woken up by snowplows early in the morning).

Shannon from Canyon Vacation Rentals was very helpful and easy to work with.

Overall, I would highly recommend this condo and would definitely consider staying here again.

Powderhorn Lodge #418 - A great place to stay

Left on 03/28/2012 for a stay in March 2011

Canyon Vacation Rentals (Shannon Lowe) were very easy to work with. Very responsive to questions and very patient. The unit was fantastic. Nice granite counter tops and modern appliance. The kitchen was well stocked with a variety of spices. The apex Express and Sunshine lift are literally a 5-7 minute walk from the condo. This allowed us to wake up late (8:00) and go at early (4:00) for cocktails and dinner. The underground parking garage was also a real plus as we did not have to shovel snow when we did go out. It should be noted that while there is a specific ski equipment locker assigned to the unit it is pretty small and will only fit 3 set of skies comfortably. However, there is a secured community locker in the parking lot (adjacent to the lobby) that can house all your equipment. We actually found the community locker quite convenient. Just a couple of tips on the lift tickets. You are better off buying the tickets at the ski shops in town you'll probably save $10 to $12 per adult ticket. However, the ski shop that we went to did not sell the junior tickets and were $49 at the Solitude ticket shop. Lastly, Brighton is literally a 5 minute drive up the road. An excellent place to stay and ski. Aloha and Mahalo!
