Our rental is located within the Sierra Foothills, surrounded by 40 wineries. The 6 acre property is on a hill with beautiful views and lovely perennial gardens. 70 mins from Sacramento, 90 mins to Lake Tahoe. Red Hawk Casino is 35 mins away. Placerville is a lovely old town with antique, craft and gift shops, large art gallery, and unique restaurants. Not far from historic sites from gold rush days.
Our local wineries have free tasting usually poured by the owner/winemaker, who give valuable insights about their unique wines. Outdoor picnic areas and many with bocce courts are available for your use.
Private parking at your own entrance.

An ideal location for touring the wineries of Eldorado County in the Sierra foothills of Northern Ca. Most of the wineries offer complimentary tastings often poured by the owner/winemakers who enjoy sharing their knowledge and love of their varietals.
This unique property offers the comforts of home with unusual decor from around the world. The owners, Victoria and Tom, both teachers, share their love of travel, wine, and good food. A gorgeous country setting offers all of the amenities: pool, hot tub, tiki bar, perennial gardens.
A recently added 27-foot sailboat on the property makes a great spot for viewing the vineyards and countryside while enjoying a glass of local wine. -

My boyfriend, Mark, and I stayed at the Flemings Retreat in November 2012. We visit the Fair Play and Somerset wineries every few months and prefer to stay the night rather than driving home. We were referred to the Flemings Retreat by Debbie at Winery by the Creek. The retreat is located on a quiet road and has its own parking area for guests. It's also gated and has a private entrance. We loved how beautifully landscaped it was and will definately be coming back so we can take advantage of the cozy enclosed hot tub. The apartment is clean and very nicely furnished with books and lots of movies (new and old) to enjoy. This place is not only romantic, but is also a great place for a girls getaway.
Victoris was also very hospitable, taking the time to welcome us and show us around the aprtment. The delicious banana breads she provided were also a very nice treat which we consumed quite rapidly. :)
I would definitely stay at the Flemings Retreat again and have already recommended it to others.
P.S. When we woke in the morning there were deer grazing right outside of the aprtment. It was like a little secret getaway. -

Loved the property. Makes you not want to Leave-ever! We received a very nice reception with a lovely lunch and then a tour of the place. The acommodations are very classy and comfortable. If you don't want to hit the wineries this is a beautiful place to just hang out. Hot tub too!

When we arrived, we did not expect to feel so at home. The view was breathtaking. The location is on a private road. We were greeted by Victoria who made us feel at home. The unit is very clean,decor is charming,and full of extra ammenities. The many wineries nearby are within close proximity to the unit. My family and I were so impressed we stayed multiple times and referred friends and family. The price is very reasonable, location, amenities, hospitality, and overall experience was exceptional. We look forward to our upcoming visit and would highly recommend Flemings Wine Country Retreat as your retreat of choice.

The location is perfect, so close to wineries and to the best restaurant in the area. Very convenient yet quiet with gorgeous views of the hills and wine country. The rooms are decorated colorfully and tastefully. Service was excellent and Victoria is a fabulous cook! Ann adams
