Enter a calm, secluded environment and get away from the busy world in this charming, old-fashioned cottage with many Irish touches -- but also with wireless internet connection. Flat-screen cable TV, hundreds of channels, DVD player! Enjoy the easy two-block stroll to Sonoma Plaza, where you can choose from Sonoma's best restaurants and browse shops. Wineries are plentiful in this heart of the California Wine Country, and many tasting rooms are located around the Plaza, only minutes away on foot. The cottage is a good base for taking walks among the vineyards.

Traditionally furnished living room has cozy, natural gas fireplace and sof...a bed for additional guest (for modest additional rent, children under 12 free). Lovely kitchen has everything you need for light housekeeping. Small room off living room can be an office or nursery. Screened-in front porch is perfect for reading, cocktails, etc.; it looks out over lovely garden. Deer are often sighted in the backyard picnic area. One housecleaning provided for month stay.

Children under 12 free. 12% city tax on stays of less than 30 days, no tax beyond that.

We mostly book long term stays, so we only book weekends if the cottage is not rented shortly before the desired dates. We are trying to avoid losing a month-long (or longer) booking because we have locked up a weekend in the middle. If you are seeking 2 or 3 nights and don't have lodging about 10-14 days before your desired dates, check with us again and if we are open we will be happy to accommodate you.

  Quiet, peaceful cottage just a short walk to the plaza

  We stayed for 5 days in March 2013 and had a great time. The cottage is behind the owners house and Larry and Rose are extremely friendly and helpful. The cottage is one bedroom, one bath with a full kitchen and has a washer/dryer if needed. The cottage is very comfortable, as we needed some heat at this time of year. The walk to the plaza is short and pleasant with grocery stores within walking distance. We so enjoyed staying here and really appreciate our hosts hospitality
