IoneLo ed the playground!
Left on 01/08/2013 for a stay in January 2013
We had a family reunion--12 adults and 7 children. We brought a trailer to give us one more bedroom. The house was very interesting and had plenty of room for us to all eat together and mill around. The location and view are spectacular. (And the weather was fabulous) Doug was very helpful. As a group we discussed what we would like to see in this house and we decided that it just needs more consistent organization. We spent lots of time looking for things. But, that certainly didn't detract from our wonderful time there.

Santa Rosa, CAPerfect setting for extended family gathering!
Left on 12/29/2012 for a stay in December 2012
Our extended family had a tremendous time in the dome. Lynnetta and Doug were great to work with. They even provided us with Christmas decorations and plenty of extra tables and chairs for our Christmas dinner. The dome has a fabulous collection of artifacts including a beautiful angel that greets you as you come and go. The lower level provided an excellent gathering place for the young adults with a separate entrance. The view was gorgeous and we enjoyed watching the deer come and go. We will definitely be back!

Los GatosGreat Kid Friendly Retreat with amazing Views
Left on 12/05/2012 for a stay in December 2012
We thoroughly enjoyed our long weekend in Sonoma at Wine Country Vista. The house is very kid friendly, with plenty of toys as well as a Wii and a foosball table to play with, which was great for us as we were forced to spend a lot of time inside because a major storm passed through. The beds are comfortable and the bathrooms and kitchen very functional. The owners are very responsive and will go out of their way to make sure you're comfortable (in our case that even meant dropping off a citrus press and demonstrating its operation.) One thing I would note though: this is not a luxury home, while the location, view and space are amazing, the home has a decidedly 1980s feel and the kitchen and baths aren't updated. The decor of the home is alternative with lots of funky art and statues.

Sacramento, CaliforniaA great place for a multigenerational gathering
Left on 12/02/2012 for a stay in November 2012
A large, comfortable home on a hill top that provides a safe and fun filled environment for small children, enough activities to keep the older children busy, and a beautiful view and relaxation for the adults. The beds were comfortable, the kitchen well stocked, the home clean. The owners were available to answer questions. It is close enough to Sonoma Square to make it accessible, but far enough to still have a country feel. Would highly recommend for a family gathering.

IowaParadise in Sonoma
Left on 04/20/2012 for a stay in March 2012
Our family was looking for a nice house to relax in. We were two couple with four kids. We found this place on the internet and it seemed perfect. When we arrived at the house on Friday evening we were blown away at how comfortable and spacious the house was. Plus it had everything - sheets, towels, toiletries and all kinds of extras in the kitchen and fridge. This was the first time we have ever rented a house from the internet and our friends and us were absolutely thrilled. It was home away from home and although we didn't personally meet Lynetta she was wonderful to interact with, always friendly and accommodating. The view from the house was beautiful and we saw lots of deer and wildlife. We would definitely recommend this place for large groups. It could easily accommodate more than our party of eight. If we ever organize another Napa/Sonoma get together we will definitely stay here!

San FranciscoGreat fun for the kids!
Left on 03/05/2012 for a stay in March 2012
We just completed a wonderful stay at the Wine Country Vista house. We had 4 kiddos with us, and the house could not have been more kid-friendly. The play structure blew our kids minds, and the toys...well, the toys kept them busy while the parents enjoyed some nice glasses of wine. The owners also provide lots of fun outdoor toys - trampoline, croquet, scooters, chalk for drawing, balls, foosball table, etc.
The house itself has a ton of personality. It is a dome house with personal eclectic decor from the owners. The house is on the older side (70s), but it clearly had all the fancy amenities from that era. It also has an amazing view. The kitchen is spacious, and it has every utensil you will need to cook a yummy dinner. The beds in all the bedrooms are very comfortable, and the linens are nice.
The location is great. It is hidden up on a hill away from the main drag of Sonoma. That said, you're close to everything. We hit Train Town with the kids one day, and it took 10 minutes to get there. I got my Starbucks every morning with a 5 minute drive. You're also very close to yummy taquerias - one of my favorite things.
This is really a great place for families with kids. I highly recommend staying here when you're in Sonoma.

Left on 02/02/2012 for a stay in January 2012
Wine Country Vista is a great place, with great location together with privacy. The apartment is located on top of the hill, but just very close to the town plaza which offer both privacy and convenience.
The house is spacious with huge dining and living area, large bedrooms and bathrooms. The only complain is the bath water heater may not be enough if guests take shower all at the same time, need to wait for a while such that the heater can prepare enough hot water for bathing especially in Winter. We managed this issue on our second day of stay, no big deal.
We can see the deer and squirrels just outside our apartment, and the apartment is equipped with plenty of facilities, TV games, free WiFi, ball games, bicycles, etc...
Wonderful place for large group of family with kids. -

Palo Alto, CAOur Wonderful Experience in Sonoma
Left on 10/14/2011 for a stay in October 2011
We arrived in our rental house in Sonoma and was very pleased with the accommodations in the house. The house was located on the top of the hill and the view was magnificent. The kitchen was so well equipped, you do not really have to bring anything but do grocery shopping for meals. Bathroom amenities are so way over the top, they think of anything you will need.House was very clean and everything works. You can always get in touch with the property manager at all times.

Oakland, CaliforniaA perfect place for family gathering
Left on 08/17/2011 for a stay in August 2011
This is a perfect place for family gathering. All members of our 3 generations family like this house.
This unit is located on top of a hill with grand valley view. It has a spacious living and dining room with high ceiling; a wonderful space to fit many people but does not feel crowded. There is ample space for outdoor activities. The location is great. It is quiet but is within a short drive to many wineries, state park, and gardens. It has a personal touch to the house. Do not feel like a hotel.
Our teenagers' comments: They have everything! It is well stocked with games, condiments, and linen. The play area is well equipped. There are many rooms. It is quiet, peaceful, and no barking neighbor dogs."

Austin, TxGreat Sonoma escape!
Left on 02/08/2011 for a stay in January 2011
Lynetta's Wine Country Vista was beautiful. We drove up to a gated 'domed' house high up on a hill. Everywhere we looked, there were gorgeous views of Sonoma - not to mention deer and jackrabbits, which our toddler loved. The house was very clean and well kept, there were even plenty of toys for my little one to play with. Lynetta seemed to have thought of everything we could possibly need! We had a very relaxing and beautiful stay. Thank you!

San Francisco, CALynetta is great
Left on 02/06/2011 for a stay in December 2010
The house is in a great spot and far removed from neighbors. Lynetta gave us tons of information about the area and was always there with a quick reply over email if we had last minute questions. Everything was very clean. My only complaint was that the master bedroom tended to get very hot with the heat on. But you couldn't turn it off or else the two bedrooms on the middle floor got too cold. Wish there was a way to better regulate the house temperatures. I think this is the case with a lot of dome houses, though.

San FranciscoWonderful Sonoma House - Great For Our Bachelorette Group!
Left on 01/25/2011 for a stay in January 2011
We stayed at this Wine Country Vista for a low key bachelorette gathering. It was in an excellent location, close to sonoma plaza but up on a hill with spectacular views of the green hills and the charming town. The house itself was absolutely perfect--a huge living room that served as a great lounging spot for the group, plenty of bed space to accommodate all of us, many unique, colorful decorations that gave the house a fun feel, and a fantastic yard where we sat out, drank wine, and watched the sunset! Everyone was so impressed! The owners were also extremely helpful and available for any questions during our stay. I would definitely recommend this house to future large groups--families, friends, bachelorette parties--you name it!

DenverGreat family friendly property close to Sonoma
Left on 11/30/2010 for a stay in November 2010
This property has beautiful views and is perfect for extended families. The toys, books, and play structure were a huge hit with the kids. The renters were very responsive to our needs and had the property well prepared for our arrival.
The property is only a short drive from the Sonoma town square which was very convenient.
Things to consider: the dining room table only sits 6; the studio in the basement must be accessed by a separate entrance.
