What Past Guests Are Saying
A million dollar view...peace and serenity in the heart of Sorre
This was our first trip to Sorrento. We absolutely loved it and would go back in a blink. We stayed in the smallest of the apartments at Villa Azzurra. It was absolutely charming...we could not have asked for more. One bedroom, a small neat little kitchen with everyting you need to cook a good Italian meal and a small bathroom that absoutely met our needs. It was handy to have a little washing machine and a line to hang clothes.
The views from the 5000 square foot terrace were magnificant...a view of the Bay of Naples, the ferry docks and the beautiful coast line. Mornings and evenings were my favourite times of the day to watch all of the hustle and bustle of the seafront from the terrace. ..it was hard to tear ourselves away...but we did. We took a tour for 1/2 day to Pompei...a must see and spent another day on the sea with andrea, the owner of the villa. A more charming and accommodating host you will not meet. We had an amazing day on the sea and a memorable visit to Capri. Definitely take a boat trip with andrea...you will have a blast.
The villa is situated right at the sea front, sitting high up on a cliff, and is a short walk to all of the shopping in Sorrento...take time to explore all of the little streets and shops. There are a broad range of restaurants to try and of course all of the shopping you need if you want to cook at home. I love to cook and it was exciting to explore the grocery shops, fish markets and delis to try my hand at cooking with new ingredients. There is nothing nicer than sitting on the magnificant terrace after a good meal and looking at the lights of the sorrento coast while sipping wine and listening to the music from the dinner club next store.
Walk in the lemon grove in the center of Sorrento, strole the streets...take the time to enjoy this town...its worth the stay. There is so much to see in Italy that it is a shame to rush off every day and not take the time to soak in the vitality of this touristy and vibrant little corner of Italy. I highly recommend Sorrento and the Villa Azzurra.

summer relax in sorrento
Great location in a very friendly private accommodation setting. Andrea is great, and a day out on his boat to Capri is a must.

In the center of town, but off by itself with a magnificent view,
Close to all transportation, shopping and great dining. Big plus, off street parking available on property.
Andreas was a wonderful host. He made our stay great with suggestions ,directions and town info. Plus he has a beautiful family.
Sorrento is a wonderful location ,it enables you to visit Poisitano ,Ravello(beautiful) and the Vesuvius sites easily.
Suggest you use public transportation for going down the amalfi Coast---quite an experience and you want to see it all! Ciao
