Villa Erca is a large Century villa set on the lush hillside of the Sorrentan peninsula facing Capri, on one of the prettiest coastlines of Italy.
It has been restored and converted in 4 private apartments, of which only three are let, sharing the pretty garden and swimming pool.
The apartment on the ground floor leads directly into the garden.
The apartments set on the first floor enjoy private terraces, with great views of the sourranding countryside, the costline and the isle of Capri.
Within walking distance there is a charming hamlet with a small shop& two good restaurants.

Massa Lubrense is an ideal place for a great holiday, more than 100 km of marked trails in the country side, country landscape, famous for its cuisine (7 restaurants in the top 20 of Campania, one of the best 3 in Italy), a coastline almost 20 miles long in the middle of the Protected Marine Area of Punta Campanella. The shores of Massa Lubrense are the closest to Capri (only 3 miles away) and you can reach Positano (13 miles), Amalfi (25 miles), Pompeii (21 miles), Ercolano (28 miles), Vesuvius (30 miles) and obviously Sorrento (3 miles) in less than one hour.

The Villa is fabulous for a group. There were 10 in our party sharing all the facilities (i.e could use the ground floor apartment bathroom if by the pool rather than having to negotiate the spiral staircases). The Villa has a faded grandeur about it that we loved - you could feel the history. Views from the balcony's are stunning especially at sunset. The large pool is surrounded by pretty gardens with an outside cooking area at one end. The highlight for us was being able to prepare and BBQ our meals together here. The 2 hammocks were also a firm favourite with the teenagers too!
The Villa is a short drive from Massa Lubrense. We loved this busy little town. We bought beautiful fish there and steaks to die for!
Beatrice our host was welcoming and helpful and gave good tips about places to go. Don't let the narrow steep access to the Villa put you off just hire a small car - you can always leave the car in the village and walk the 10 minutes to the Villa! -

Mes enfants ne voulaient plus quitter la Villa Erca ! Moi mon plus d'ailleurs !
La situation de cette villa est exceptionnelle, jardin, piscine et vue sur l'Ile de Capri. Mobilier rustique, bibliothèque comportant de superbes livres. Impossible de s'ennuyer ! Chambres confortables et très propres.
Accueil très chaleureux par Béatrice et Rachel. Un petit village à proximité pour le ravitaillement et les bonnes pizzas livrées à domiciles.
Un seul point négatif et non négligeable ! L'accès très difficile avec un grand C4 Picasso. La prochaine fois si nous y retournons, je louerai une fiat 500 ! La route est très pentue et sinueuse. -

The flats are individual furnished with an own country-style character. The flat Capri, were we lived, has an outstanding view. It is possible to sit on the balcony and have lunch or a beautiful dinner. The pets are lovely, also suitable for small Childs. The house is situated on a hill in a quiet area. It only can be reached about a small street, which ends at the villa. Therefore, no other cars are driving there. However, the street is small and so it is useful not to use a big car to get there. The service is very good, managed by Ms. Raquel Rock, a very elegant and resolute lady. In case of a problem, help is coming soon and unproblematicly.

for a nice holiday with extremely interesting visits and a charming house with nice swimmingpool and dito garden, we can only recommend villa Erca. Just dont take a big car with you for the roads are so small
