St AlbansWonderful Stay in Sorrento Hidden Gem
Left on 09/03/2012 for a stay in June 2012
Just got back from a week's break at the Santa Lucia apartments in Sorrento, Italy and what a hidden gem they are! We were celebrating a double wedding and with 3 large families to accommodate, the Residence Santa Lucia proved perfect so we booked the whole complex. Each of the 5 air-conditioned self-catering apartments sleep from 4 to 6 people and are dotted around a beautiful complex about a 10 minute walk from Sorrento's main square. The complex is gated and the setting is lush, set amongst beautiful gardens of lemon and orange trees with gorgeous views all around and being away from the hustle of Sorrento makes for quiet and peaceful evenings! There is a large outside dining area seating well over 30 people with swings for the kids and hammocks for the adults and Gino the manager was great - he prepared pasta for over 25 people when we arrived, and also hosted a BBQ and Pizza night for us and all our wedding guests - it was truly brilliant with all the family sitting under the stars eating traditional Italian food cooked in front of you! One apartment was up a spiral staircase, so not for kids or elderly, but the views were amazing from the private terrace, which was a sun trap all day. The pool area was beautiful, with sun beds and umbrellas for all, and the pool was clean and topped up every night! And all this for an absolute amazing price too! So for an amazing family holiday, somewhere that's warm, friendly, lively when you want it to be, but also completely relaxing when you need it to be - go to Sorrento and stay at the Residence Santa Lucia!

BristolGreat apartment in the heart of beautiful Sorrento

Thank you to everyone for making our stay at this beautiful, spacious apartment so good. Berta and the owners were all extremely helpful and friendly and Sorrento is a lovely place. The terraces at the front and back mean you always have somewhere cool to sit - day or night and the pool is perfect, yet we normally had it all to ourselves. Would highly recommend this apartment to anyone who wants some peace and quiet with easy access to all Sorrento has to offer within 5 minutes walk

DerryAn amazing property with great Italian hosts in Sorrento
Left on 09/19/2011 for a stay in August 2011
12 people stayed in T319 and T317 for 2 weeks and have the time of our lives. Gino and his family look after every guest and are the friendliest folk you\'ll find in Italy. The food nights they put on are great value for what is unbelievable food and nothing is too much trouble. We miss Gino!! We all want to return to this paradise in the middle of Sorrento, where we felt so much at home. It\'s in a great location, has a fantastic pool and is spotlessly clean. The landscaped gardens contain beuatiful ornage and lemon trees and there are swings and hammocks dotted in between old trees. Book this place - you won\'t regret it :)

Newburysuper oasis in sorrento
Left on 08/30/2011 for a stay in August 2011
Super, clean, high ceilinged apartment in an oasis of orange and lemon trees in the middle of Sorrento (walking distance to the main square). Really lovely pool area with plenty of sun beds - we, family of 5, always found one each when we wanted. Friendly and helpful Italian/Thai couple and his brother own and arrange twice weekly optional (and excellent) pizza and BBQ nights for all the (5?) villas in the little compound. They also arranged us our own boat with driver for the day. We stayed in Villa Positano and some evenings ate on the rooftop solarium surrounded by hills and the moon. You won't love if you want to lounge before the satellite TV (which had dodgy reception) but we couldn't rate more highly for a villa in lovely surroundings close to excellent facilities. No car needed as driving is ferrocious and there are excellent train links to Naples, Pompeii and Herculaneum and boat and bus links going the other way around the coast and of course to Capri and Ischia - which we preferred to Capri as beautiful, larger, less crowded and we had a super morning at the old Roman spa set into the rocks. Food at Restaurant Lauro angelo, in the leafy green piazza about half a mile down the main road from Piazza Tassa, (face the sea and turn right) was superb - great Italian home cooking - and excellent value.

CorkOut on its own...Perfection
Left on 10/09/2010 for a stay in August 2010
Six of us,all in our 30's,travelled together for a friends wedding. The apartment with our own terrace was perfect. The hosts were the friendliest Ive ever met. They had "Italian Nights" which consisted of home made food & they welcomed friends of ours that were staying in hotels with open arms for it.The location was perfect, less than ten minute walk from centre,up a small incline. This wasnt an issue in comparison to friends that had to pay taxi's up to 30 euro a day for transport to their hotels in via nastro verde area.An overall amazing holiday made even better for the accomodation & hospitality that we received from the hosts. Have recommended it to so many people already, its a no stop topic of conversation over dinners.Hope to return some day
