Le Gallerie, a newly renovated and extended villa, is situated above the ocean on the Anse Chastanet road overlooking Soufriere Bay. Guests staying in this villa will experience the stunning views of The Pitons, a world heritage site, and in the far distance the island of St. Vincent. Anse Chastanet Hotel with its renowned snorkelling beach and restaurants is a short drive away.

This uniquely situated villa can accommodate up to 10 adults and two children in five double bedrooms and one child’s bedroom. In the newly constructed section there are two spacious air-conditioned bedrooms with king size beds and en-suite bathrooms. Each bed...room opens onto a private balcony where guests can relax and savour the views. There are also two original double bedrooms, two with king size four poster beds, romantically draped with light fabrics, ceiling fans and en-suite bathrooms. These bedrooms open onto a high level patio where guests can enjoy the wonderful sea views. Attached to one of these bedrooms is a children’s bedroom with two single beds. Each of the double bedrooms has a safe.

The large living room is fully furnished with comfortable chairs upholstered in a cool white fabric, a wide screen TV (no TV reception available in the area), DVD player and DVD library. The third bedroom is located lower down the pool and deck area. This bedroom enjoys a panoramic view of The Pitons and the sea as the front wall of this bedroom opens out completely to enjoy the view. This bedroom is cooled by a ceiling fan and has its own en-suite bathroom. There is a separate dining area with an outside balcony with a breakfast table. The kitchen is well equipped with a counter top hob, under the counter stove, fridge, freezer, ice machine, microwave, dishwasher and most appliances. There is a separate kitchen deck which accommodates a charcoal barbeque and gas burner.

The pool is approximately 35ft by 13ft and the depth varies from 4ft to 7ft 6 in. The pool is surrounded by a huge circular deck with a gazebo and also a long pergola passageway running alongside the pool.

A tropical garden completes this property with a track leading down the steep hillside to the private rocky beach which is great for snorkelling.

  The house exceeded our expectations. Everything from the house to the staff was above and beyond what we expected. When we arrived there they had snacks and rum punch waiting for us. The cook was very flexible when we added nights for her to cook and everything she made was delicious. The house was very well stocked and had everything we needed. The house was spotless when we arrived and kept that way though our entire visit.   Le Gallerie does not disappoint! For seven wonderful days we can actually say we awoke in paradise! The villa was simply beautiful...the views more breathtaking than any photo could possibly capture.   Le Gallerie was beautiful. The view from every spot in the home were breathtaking. I loved the open-air living areas, but appreciated the closed off sleeping areas. The staff made our stay even more enjoyable. The villa cook made us wonderful meals every morning and evening. The villa, pool and grounds were always cleaned to perfection every day.   After reviewing the villa on line I knew what amenities to expect, but I was not prepared for how beautiful it was in actuality. Not only was the physical plant prettier, the staff was beyond anyone\'s expectations!!   The Best Vacation I Have Ever Had!

  My family stayed at Le Gallerie for 7 days in June 2012. I cannot say enough about this vacation home, so I will just hit the high points. Breathtaking views from every angle of this villa. Outdoor living and dining space was fabulous. Loved that the bedrooms were closed off and contained air-conditioning. Katherine and Charmaine (housekeeper and chef) were like part of the family. Katherine cleaned the villa to perfection every day and Charmaine cooked wonderful meals. Private beach below the villa was great for snorkeling. The owner was kind enough to call us on our last day to ensure our stay had been perfect.
  
  For the sake of a well-rounded review, some of the most positive points about Le Gallerie also lend to some minor negative points, but certainly the negative does not outweight the positive. For example, we loved the open air living, but this feature invites lizards and frogs to share your villa. The placement of the villa is on the side of a very steep and rocky mountain whcih makes driving to the villa interesting. The road is very narrow and bumpy and could probably be dangerous in the rain. The path to the beach from the villa was very steep and rocky which would prohibit someone with mobility issues from enjoying this feature. We loved it and considered it good exercise.
  
  I have stayed in vacation rentals on 6 islands in the Caribbean. St. Lucia and Le Gallerie were, by far, my favorite destination. The people of St. Lucia are so warm and friendly and the rainforests add another element of beauty to the landscape that you don't have at other Caribbean destinations.
  
  Is there anything I would change about this trip or Le Gallerie? No, No and No! Would I like to go back again? Yes, Yes and Yes!

  Our Stay at Le Gallerie

  We just returned from Le Gallerie and it is everything you read about - and more! The photo\'s just do not compare to what you actually get. The view is fantastic, the house is breezy and airey, the grounds are wonderful and the staff superb. Le Gallerie is located in Souffriere, a town of about 9,000, away from all the mega resorts on the north end of the island. It is just ouside the rain forest and close to all the natural beauty that is St. Lucia. You are at one with nature at the house, wrapped into the local birds and flaura.

  Le Gallerie was the perfect fit for out two families (2 couples, each with a teen 15 years old - High School- and one active 89 year old grand mother). The staff greated us with a wonderful snack, and we gratefully ran around the villa, getting oriented, sorting out rooms, admiring the views, and jump in the beautiful pool. The pictures on the website were accurate, the staff was nice, friendly and helpful. The staff would have done more for us, but we really only asked them to do some grocery shopping, fix a number of dinners and make fruit and vegetable platters. The dinners they fixed were wonderful, including special salt-free food for our elderly mom. Everyone on the island called our mother "mommy" and treated her with love and respect. She loved it! The views from the villa are wonderful, and the villa itself had breezy rooms with mosquito nets and fans, which we found very comfortable, and two air conditioned rooms. The place is set-up for entertaining and relaxation.
