Our family has just returned to England after a wonderful holiday at Mango Point. My wife and I arrived on 24th March and our three children and two sons in law joined us on the following Sunday for our second week, which was a celebration for my 60th and our eldest daughter's 30th birthdays.
The villa is an ideal location for a special holiday. The view of The Pitons is stunning and the facilities are excellent, with spacious rooms and a fantastic pool. The staff - particularly Pamela (who is a wonderful cook), Felicia and Manuel were very friendly and helpful.
The owner arranged for us to hire a jeep, which is essential because of the steep hill and bumpy road leading up to the villa, and we hired a second one from the same company (Cool Breeze in Soufriere) when the rest of the family joined us.
We all like snorkelling and found the marine reserves at anse Chastanet beach and Sugar Beach to be full of colourful fish, with very clear water. The water temperature was 27C. My son and I also did three scuba dives with the Scuba St Lucia, located on the beach at anse Chastanet.
Other activities we enjoyed included a boat trip with snorkelling stops, a hike down to the waterfall in the Enbas Saut Rainforest (both of these organised through Jones the taxi driver) and kayaking from Marigot Bay to Roseau Mangrove with DFH Kayaking. It was hard to tear ourselves away after two weeks!Response from Mango Point - 04/17/2013

In addition to the lovely villa, the grounds are beautiful with flowering plants and hummingbirds everywhere with an exceptionally friendly staff, who helped our sons and daughters plan a surprise party for us. They cooked whatever you prefer for meals and we enjoyed some of the local dishes like curried goat, salt fish fritters, fried plantains, banana-pinapple flambe, cheese soufle, and yummy salads and friuits. The anse Chasnet beach below has the best coral reef in a protected diving area. There are actually 2 beaches that allow for a nice walking route, with sugar plantation ruins available for free to tour. We will always treasure our memories of this family reunion.

Mango Point St. Lucia

Eight of us from Ohio and New Mexico arrived January 19 for ten days. We were immediatly awed by the view of the Pitons and the sea directly in front of the Villa. The villa was beautiful and spacious. The staff was pleasant and Pamala and Felica made us delicious meals. They also kept the villa very clean. The pool and gardner, Emanuel was enjoyable to be around and talk to. Very few insects around and hardly any mosquitos. The weather was perfect and only rained a little at night.
Can't say enough of how we enjoyed the stay. After a couple of days we rented a van. You can walk to the beach in about 20 minutes where we snorkled. The road is rather steep. On the beach is the anse Chestanet resort. Eating there is absurdly expensive. We did eat in Soufrier one day for lunch. Large meal for $6.00.
We drove to Castries for a little shopping and lunch. You can get a good meal at "The Balcony" for $6.00. Be warned that water in the restaraunt cost a lot more that a coke. Coke was a dollar for a bottle.
You can't get lost driving to Soufrier or Castries, There is only one road. It's allmost an hour drive to Castries and ten minutes to Soufrier.
On Sunday morn we visted a Pentecostal assembly of the West Indies in Soufrier. The people were very friendly and welcomed us with open arms. They were lively in the worship service.
The owner [-----] was very accommodating and answered all my questions before we got there.

My Family and I recently stayed at Mango Point. It was one of the most relaxing holidays we have taken. The location of the house is one of the best of Soufriere. The View of the Pitons is postcard perfect. The house itself is extremely comforatble with open arched doors that lead to a deck and a wonderful private pool. The staff, Felicia and Pamela, is a great asset to the house. Both are extremely friendly and very accomodating in making your stay extremely pleasant. Felicia prepares amazing breakfasts, as for Pamela, her dinners are succulant. We never had to go out to restaurants, as dinner at home was so much better. I would totally recommend this house.

This is an often over-used description of a holiday villa, but in the case of Mango Point it is the only word to use. From the moment you stand on the terrace and look at the view you know that things are perfect. E villa is lively, the staff are delightful and the cook is terrific.

Mango Point is such a beautiful place that it is one of those houses that you see on vacation and wish you had stayed there. The view is probably the finest on all of St.Lucia. The house is spacious and open with beautiful breezes that lightly scatter flower petals on the tile floors. The pool is warm and inviting. Ceiling fans cool you in the tropical air, and the songs of treefrogs lull you to sleep at night. The help are charming , efficient , and extremely helpful. Wait till you try the chef's souffle!

Missouridelightful week
Left on 01/26/2012 for a stay in January 2012
Enjoyed a wonderful week in early January 2012 with friends at Mango Point. The views of the Pitons, the sunsets, the pool, the food, and the staff made for a very relaxing week. Pamela is not only a very accommodating and good cook, but she has such a pleasant personality. Just a few helpful hints for you ---1.) we felt it was better to ask for the fish (especially fresh lobster) than the meat...2.) be prepared for an unusual rocky, bumpy and steep road to access the house... 3.) If you drive or go anywhere, the signage on the whole island is very poor...4.) the house is very comfortable , but be aware that it is an open house near the forest and you will be dealing with critters inside the house and your bedroom (we were fine with it - but it may not be for everyone.) We did not experience any mosquitos at this time of year. 5.) The food at the house is so good, it is not necessary to eat out. None of these items are vacation-wreckers, and all in all, we enjoyed this island, the house, and this particular time of the year. Yes, we would go back.
