Enjoy fabulous views and sunsets while sitting on the covered deck or the sunroom overlooking Howe Bay and the ocean beyond. Cool down by going swimming on hot summer days, go beachcombing, try your hand at digging clams or canoe over to the sandbar when the tide is out and explore there, all right in front of the cottage . Walk for miles on two of the nicest beaches anywhere at Basin Head or on the north shore at Crowbush Cove. The house was lovely; the view was fantastic; the property manager was very helpful; clams and mussels are plentiful on the beach; overall a wonderful place to stay.
If the house did have a shortcoming, it would be its out-of-the-way location. Very convenient if you want to explore the eastern part of PEI by car or just want some quiet time in a nice house by the water, but a bit of a drive to see or do anything else. -

We stayed at the Cottage at Howe Bay for 3 nights during our visit to the Maritimes. The cottage was even better than the pictures and was equipped with everything we could possible need. It is a secluded oasis with private access the ocean but also a great place to use as a "home base" while exploring the rest of the island. We were so sad to leave and cannot wait to return. Thank you Don and Judy for a wonderful holiday!
