This detached, timber-built Scandinavian lodge is located on the Cotswolds Water Park near to Cirencester and can sleep six people in three bedrooms. Kingfisher is a detached, timber-built, single storey Scandinavian lodge, on the peaceful southern side of the Cotswold Water Park, just 4 miles from Cirencester in Gloucestershire. This cottage is able to sleep six people in three bedrooms (one double, one twin and one with bunk beds) and it also has a family bathroom. The rest of the accommodation is made up of an open plan living area with a fitted kitchen, a dining area and a sitting room. Outside the cottage is a veranda with a gas BBQ and... an outdoor dining area, shared use of a 1 acre lawn, lockable bike storage and off road parking for one car. With restaurants and all manner of water sports available on site, Kingfisher is in a great location for a fun filled holiday.

Amenities: Electric wall heaters. Electric oven and hob, microwave, fridge, washing machine, dishwasher, TV with Freeview, DVD, stereo/CD. All fuel and power inc. in rent. Bed linen and towels inc. in rent. Travel cot and highchair available on request. Veranda with gas BBQ and outdoor dining area. Shared use of 1 acre lawn. Lockable bike storage. Off road parking for one car. Two well-behaved pets welcome, at a charge of £25 per pet, per booking. Sorry, no smoking. Shops 12 mins walk, pub 1 mile. Restaurant on-site (open 7am until 5pm) 2 mins walk with free internet access. Note: All Water Park activities available on a pay-as-you-go basis. Note: On-site fishing is half price for guests at Kingfisher, payable on-site. Note: Although the lodge is fully wheelchair accessible there are no other specific features in the lodge for people with mobility issues. Note: Short Breaks must start on a Monday or Friday only.

Town: Lake Pochard nestles in the southern section of The Cotswold Water Park, situated in the heart of the Cotswolds. The Cotswold Water Park is an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, covering 40 square miles and made up of over 130 lakes surrounded by villages, historic market towns and an area of water larger than the Norfolk broads. The Cotswold Water Park is Britain's largest, and offers a wide range of activities including boating, water-skiing, fishing, cycling, walking, golf and horse riding. Also on the park can be found tennis courts, a croquet lawn, a children's play area and for nature lovers, the Water Park offers an abundance of bird and animal life on the three nature reserves, which can be observed throughout the year. All prices are inclusive of the booking fee. The "Min. Per Night" prices quoted are based on the weekly rental price, they are not applicable for short breaks. See our short break policy or ask for further details.
Winter Short Breaks (WSB) are available at many properties in the "Winter" period - subject to availability. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. Off Season Breaks (OSB) are available at many properties in parts of the "Low" and "Mid" periods - subject to availability. The price for a 3 night break is either 75% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. OSBs can be booked within a calendar month of the start date of the holiday. "Last Minute Breaks" (LMB) are available at most properties throughout the "LOW", "MID", "HIGH", "PEAK", "XMAS" and "NEW YEAR" periods. The price for a 3 night break is either 65% of the normal weekly rental or, if it is higher, the quoted Winter Short Break price. Extra nights are charged pro rata of the weekly rental. LMBs can be booked within one week of the start date of the holiday.

  What a brilliant location! Weather was wonderful, which did help.
  We actually eat every meal, including breakfast out on the terrace during our stay - we didn't sit at the dinning table nor was the oven used!! the BBQ was used all the time.
  Cabin is wonderfully spacious - it would have been handy to have a second bathroom with 6 of us - and I'm sure the layout could be changed to include this in the future.
  Only suggestion I would have is to introduce recycling bins on site - there was no bins for glass/paper etc.
  Have already recommended location to friends who have booked for Easter 2012!

  The accomodation was spacious and the location by the lake was good. As this was our first visit instead of going to our normal destination of the Norfolk Broads, we found the comparison by Sykes' description of being a similar destination to the Norfolk Broads, very dissapointing. Most of the lakes in the Cotswold Water Park are privately owned and in many cases cannot even be seen! They are not linked like the Broads and we spoke to a number of locals who were upset about what has happened to the lakes over the past 15 years.

  A really good introduction to a holiday lodge. Our problem was that we were ladies in amongst fishermen--a slight change in location would have made this a 5 star holiday!
