This was just the right spot for our 2 families. Great centrral location, kids walked to beach, stores, and even minature golf. Had plenty of room with upstairs loft and bedrooms for everyone to be comfortable. Thanks Mckinney and asscoiates for the great suggestion!

House was very clean and the beds very comfortable. It was nice to be close to everything. Snowed over 3' one night and the driveway was plowed.
It is a little dark in the house, though not a big deal. The bathroom on the main floor seemed to leak water around the base. That was the only issue.

We stayed there on the last weekend of October, the cabin was very nice, very well taken care of, very warm and cozy! we enjoyed it so much, we didn't want to leave, but we are definitly coming back again! the neighborhood is very quiet. The cabin is fixed up really nice, kitchen had everything we needed to cook. The beds were very comfortable. I loved the dinning room and the bar stools! Heater and electic fireplace works great too!
Cozy Tahoe cabin

We really enjoyed our stay at the Chalet with our kids and hope to return again. The cabin is walking distance from the bike path that takes you everywhere (bring your bikes), the mini golf course, and a gorgeous Upper Truckee marsh area. The best beaches are driving distance anyway, so don't let the location deter you. The house was very clean and nicely decorated (cute and not Tahoe-cheesey), comfortable beds, nice sheets and towels, and had everything we needed for our stay. The on demand water heater was great. We were looking for a place with a fenced yard for the kids. But, a bear visited while we were there, so they didn't spend much time out in the yard. We traveled with a 2 year old and missed our cabinet locks. But, the place was otherwise kid-friendly (bring your own childrens utensils). I thought it was a super value for the price.
Very cozy home, in good neighborhood and convenient location

I would definitely recommend this place!
Con: Home is a bit dark in term of lighting (especially in the dinning room)
It IS a 2 bedroom and a loft. So if you have 3 couples, you are not going to be comfortable (loft doesn't have a bed for 2, so you'll ended up with 2 couples in the 2nd bedroom)
Pro: The heater is awesome. Large fridge. Plenty of dishes and dinning knifes. Dishwasher is effective. Quiet neighborhood. Relaxing at atmosphere. Wireless is better than expected. Cozy cabin style for a Tahoe weekend trip.
Remember to buy gas if you are to BBQ. The market is only 2 minutes away though. Also, bring your own cutting knife for fruits and vegetables.

I actually sent in my review by mail. Mainly the kitchen needed knives that
were not serrated. ALL the knives were serrated and we're cooks, so it was a
Also, the bathrooms could have used some bar soap.
The owner has agreed to supply additional knives in the home. Soaps, shampoo, detergent, toilet paper, paper towels and trash bags are all provided by housekeeping on arrival. It is only a starter supply so if guests have a large group or are in house for more than a couple of days they may need to purchase additional supplies.

We really enjoyed this property and would rent it again if we come back for some skiing. The neighbors and neighborhood were very nice.
