Lovely, family-friendly home that is very close to Stateline, Heavenly and South Lake Tahoe. We had a party of 12, and the house didn't seem too small. We had all the amenities we needed, though we couldn't use the hot-tub! Highly recommend - I'd love to go back if I can.

Everything was broken except the hot tub. The cable didn't work, all the balls rolled to the center of the pool table, not enough air to play air hockey, and pieces missing from the foos ball table. Good thing the company was great or the weekend would have been a total loss. Way too much money for what it was. Also, the whole upstairs was freezing. Needs a Whol lot of work!
Left on 08/15/2013 for a stay in August 2013 | Tahoe lover
The house is walking distance to the lake, however, needs a lot of upgrades.
The game tables are all there but old, parts broken and the air hockey table not working at its best. Air is very slow. The refrigerator is too old, when we got there we were welcome by a huge leak, they send a handyman right away to fix but left us with no ice maker. The hot tub has a time limit of use til 10pm.
The wifi password never worked, it wasn't fix after calling them either.
You're paying location not an upgraded place. We stayed at other location cheaper than this one with better amenities.

Our overall review of Sonora is pretty good. The price and the amount of sleeping quarters were sufficient for our group of 7 guys. Anything more than that would have caused issues. It sleeps 12, but that is guys and girls or two guys to a bed or vice versa. House was in good shape. Hot tub worked. Upstairs game room was nice, but the air hockey table didn't really work well. Air came out, but not enough to actually play a game. We ended up not using the room other than for sleeping...so it was a wash. Bathrooms were nice and clean and the showers seemed to stay hot for a good length. Location was perfect...right in the middle of town. For the price, this is a good rental to crash at.

Cute and cozy but the extras werent that great...
Left on 03/14/2012 for a stay in March 2009 | Lulu
I went to Tahoe with a group of 12 adults. We chose this place because of all the fun extras...pool table, air hockey table, hot tub and wet bar. It was definitely a cozy place and accomodated the group accordingly but the extras werent that great. The pool table is older and was way off balance and the air hockey table didnt work. The hot tub was definitely a treat after a long day of boarding. The heating system is not that great and the rooms upstairs were like freezer boxes (even when the heater was on). If youre looking for affordable, this is a good place but if you want the fun extras (like we did) I would recommend you look for another place...
Sleeps 12, accomodates 2

Kitchen is not even suitable for a Bachelor. Limited supply of pots and pans, range has no venting and no windows to clear the air. Hvac did not have ducting to all rooms causing large differentials in temperature. Cb Mckinney was very good in responding to my request to change locations, however given such a short notice there were only two other options available.

Large House, Great Location, Pretend the Game Room Doesnt Exist
Left on 09/22/2011 for a stay in September 2011 | ray
The location of this house is great. It is a few blocks from the lake and only about a $7 taxi to the casinos. The house can sleep a lot of people. We had 4 couples. 3 of them got their own bedroom. There is no 4th bedroom though it says there is. The 4th bedroom is a open walkway that is attached to the game room with a twin. The game room has a futon which could sleep people.
The house was comfy and no complaints about that. However, the kitchen didnt have much cookware, the bbq is about to fall over, and the pool table, foosball, and air hockey are not in working order either. They look great in the pictures but that is about all they are good for. The house has a working tv which is nice and a dvd player. The hot tub worked nicely too.
All and all I would go back but would probably not have as high of expectations with some of the amenities.

The house and location were great and the house accommodated everyone perfectly. However, when we arrived the hot tub was not working so we called Cb-mckinney and they sent someone out and the problem was fixed. The game room is nice...but unfortunately the air flow for the air hockey table wasn't sufficient and there were some broken parts on the foos ball table. We also had a hard time with the stereo...couldn't get it to play Cd's. Besides that it was fine.

This is a great cabin to stay in for the fellas. The game room upstairs is where we spent most of our time. Played a lot of pool and ping pong as we listened to music. It's about a mile from the casino's and less than a mile from the beach. We've stayed at nicer looking cabins but for us guys, we aren't looking for luxury, we are looking for convenience and where we have the best time. We plan on coming back every year to this cabin. I can't wait for July 2012.

After coming home from medical retirement in the army, I needed a place to get away to find some peace. A couple of buddies of mine rented the cabin in Tahoe for the weekend and it was serene. Quiet and peaceful, just what the doctor ordered. The house was big, game room was amazing, and the best part we were so close to the lake. Easy access to everything. The best part was the hot tub, just what my body needed. I would definitely come back and stay there again!
Great friends, great rental, great trip!!

This house was perfect for our group. We had 12 old friends getting togther for a mini-reunion. There was enough space for everyone to sleep comfortably and do whatever they wanted without getting in others way. The game room offered hours of entertainment when we just felt like hanging out. We could walk to several restaurants and the beach, and take a $6 cab to the casinos (because it was freezing and we were in heels!). Only thing that could have made it better was a bigger bbq!
The kids say it was perfect.

All of the game tables have been repaired after we received the complaint from this guest. All other issues were repaired by the home owners.

Came here with a group of friends to celebrate. When we first walked in we thought the place was small but lo and behold upstairs and enormous. It easily sleeps 12 in beds. Close to the casinos, but far enough that their blinding lights aren't annoying. Nice hot tub that we enjoyed every night. We did everything from this place, skied, walked around the lake, and went out to the casinos. Great location.
Nice time in Tahoe.

We had a great time. The game room was a lot
of fun for the whole family. Some of the
appliances such as washer and dryer was
very old. The tv was projection and should
be upgraded. However even with these things
that could be better. I would stay again.

This was a great four bedroom, two bath house in a good location. The downstairs area had the kitchen, livingroom, and two bedrooms. The kitchen was connected to the livingroom so that it was possible to socialize while preparing meals. Upstairs was an additional two bedrooms and then the highlight of the house, the huge game-room. It had a pool table, air hockey table, foosball table and a long bar with a mini fridge. Definitely the focal point for the group and fun for all ages! We were also happy to find a partially assembled ping pong table in the garage that we put back together and were able to use. Out back there were a couple of small Bbqs and a nice hot tub. A tall fence created plenty of privacy and gave the small space a bigger feeling. This house was good for entertainment and also close enough to the casinos for night entertainment. It was a cheap cab ride or quick 8 block walk to Stateline and the lake is 3 blocks. Location is essential to the experience in South Lake and this place came through. Overall, this house was great! Everyone who stayed really enjoyed themselves there. We all would rent it again!

House was spacious and had all of the basic necessities. This being said, furnishings, appliances and heating system are old and show a lot of wear. Only 1 heat vent upstairs which made bedrooms quite cold. Had to use lots of blankets and dress fast. Hot tub was very dirty. Location is great if skiing Heavenly. Quiet neighborhood. Large projection TV in living room was nice since college conference basketball championships were occurring the same week. Good place for a lot of people at a very reasonable price if you are not concerned about renting a high end well furnished place.
Overall the place is a good value.
close to lake but not that mountain feel, great for kids

The cabin was great for kids with the game room. We shared a family vacation with 10. Very close to lake but not a nice area. It is not quiet and tree filled like you would expect the mountains. Teenagers loved walkling to the Red Hut ice cream parlor. We had internet problems and the agent was very helpful, as well as, the owner.

The home was less clean than desireable and the cable did not work all weekend, so the TV's advertised were worthless. However, CB McKinney and Associates were wonderful. They did all they could to work with the owner and restore the cable, when they were not successfull they issued a credit for our inconvinience. I would definitley work with McKinney and Associates again!

The place was great. Very clean, everything worked, game room was lots of fun and we weren't hassled by the neighbors. It is a medium length walk to the Casinos especially when it is cold and 3 minute drive to the slopes. Overall you should stay here!
