Decent for the price, we had 12 at various times during the week. Good location but not on the keys like most of the homes. Stove and microwave very old and inadequate. Fenced yard was great for the kids. Dark inside due to older decor.

Tahoe Visiter 40+years
Dirty and Cluttered

This home has great potental. If they removed all the clutter, ie: nicknacks and the "stuff" everywhere; walls, tables, dressers, shelves, most of which are dusty. It is just too much. Great stuff but not in a rental. It took 5 minutes to find the light switch for the kitchen. There is no room to put a suitcase or even a glass. Carpets are filthy and give you an unclean feeling along with the dust on the nicknacks. Downstairs bath is very slippery, had to buy a bathmat. Wonderful to have such big beds for everyone even though crowded. Deck was covered with leaves and so many tables and chairs you couldn't move. Hot tub was great...clean, warm. Nice setting in back yard with lots of trees and shade. Sliding glass door lock broken so had to use a metal rod on the floor to lock each time. Great location and beach/pool just down the block. Would rent again if it had a major decluttering, cleaning and brightening.
Ok for the cost but not a small child friendly place.

ere is a big stain on the carpet in the living room and it sounds like it stayed there even after cleanings. The carpets are full of dirt or dust, thus caused everyone to sneeze even the people that don't have allergies. The kitchen faucet leaks, the fridge leaks, the pots and skillet are very scratched and old to cook in. There was spider webs all over the place including in the kitchen chandelier which didn't add to the decor. The bathroom upstairs smells like mold so badly and I think its due to being all carpeted and layers of rugs to cover it up with water around. The upstairs shower barely works-the water stream is weak and it goes from hot to cold every minute. The bathroom cabinets looks like they are in the middle of being fixed with things hanging off. We were not able to use the hot tub or even be in the outside area because there is swamps of mosquitoes everywhere, they were all over the net of the door. When we got into the house there was tons of mosquitoes too, we had to go around and spray everywhere. The grill outside didn't work either. There are drawers, some doors and just things around the house that is broken or such. There is way too many chachkas everywhere, definitely not a child proof or friendly place. Outside tables and benches that are such good pictures on the site were all covered in layer of dirt and dust and were not able to be used.
On the positive note the bedrooms were overall ok just dusty again I believe from the carpets, there was enough dishes and kitchen table was good size.

Even though we had a wonderful time because we were all together at Christmas, there were many problems with this house that we rented. When we first arrived, there was water from melting snow pouring right over the walk way. This had frozen, leaving a mound of ice that we had to contend with. We ended up going to the store and buying a bag of salt so that nobody would break their neck! Then, it took considerable effort to enter the house, as the key didn't open the door without jiggling it for 10 minutes.
Once inside, we noticed that the place was not as clean as we would have liked. There was a great deal of dust on the furniture, which we noticed later when we were vacuuming, was coming up from the carpet. The carpet was dirty and stained in many areas. In the downstairs bedroom, there were smashed bugs on the walls. In the kitchen, we found rodent droppings in some of the pots and pans and the dishwasher did not work well, either.
We had to call the rental company to find out how to operate the fireplace. It would have been nice to have these instructions already given to us.
We will not stay in this rental, or most likely, any rental offered by this rental company again. Read more

Ice and snow are always a hazard when visiting the Tahoe area in the winter. Our home owners pay for regular snow removal at the homes for both the driveways and the walkways. Ice will build up very quickly when we get as much snow as we had during this guests visit. We ask our guests when they check in to please call us and report any issues they have with the home as soon as they have a problem. We would have been happy to send out housekeeping to address the cleaning issues they had. The owners pay for a deep cleaning of the home every spring and fall and also have the carpets professionally cleaned every spring and fall.

Our stay was very comfortable and the weather was spectacular - so we ate outside all the time, especially evenings. The beds were great - very relaxing. Parking was perfect and the walk to the beach just right. the hot tub was also great - the place was stocked with lots of towels 0- bathrooms were super and the kitchen excellent. the electronic equipment and wifi was perfect as well - even figured out how to run the movie CD!
working with the management company was a real pleasure. Instructions were excellent.
On the downside the carpet should be spot cleaned ahead of time (we did some of that - i.e., cleaning) - and there was a three-day wedding bash going on next door with tons of traffic, noise and all the other "extras" - but they were harmless, aside from a few beer cans on our lawn and waking us up at 3 in the morning.
