"Sleeping Bear Lodge" features a great room with 20 foot ceilings, a spectacular stone fireplace, a gorgeous log staircase and custom log accents throughout, beautiful pine plank floors, a custom kitchen with stainless appliances and wine cooler. The master suite features beautiful plank ceilings, an office/loft, oversized master Jacuzzi bath, large walk-in closet, sauna and steam room. There is a large hot tub on the upper deck with forest views. The property is a resort on its own and just minutes from world class mountain biking, hiking, skiing and the lake.

This property was beautiful as have all the Buckingham properties I have stayed in have been. Property has steam room and sauna which was great after playing all day. Only downfall was that we had problems getting the hot tub to work, however Buckingham gave a partial refund for this. If your looking to stay in the South Lake Tahoe area you cant go wrong with the properties they have to offer. Easy to book and now they have a great app for your smart phone to access all the information about your rental.

This is a ultra-spacious, clean and well-maintained cabin in a quiet neighborhood, just a short 10-minute drive from the Ski Run Marina and all the hustle and bustle of the busier part of town. The fully-stocked kitchen with 3 bedroom + loft & 3 full baths are more then enough for our family of 4. This cabin has enough square footage to easily accommodate two families (three if you bring some air mattresses) and still giving everyone enough elbow/leg room and privacy. The in-unit washer/dryer are awesome, and we really appreciated the filtered water cooler (we are picky about the water we drink). We got good Wifi signals and Internet speeds throughout our stay as well. The weather was warm enough that we didn't get to use the jacuzzi on the balcony nor the fireplace. But both should provide added comfort in cold winter months.

We stayed here for the 4th of July week with another family. The house was nice and roomy - loved the open great room with the high ceilings. Lots of clean towels which was nice :)
Close to lots of activities - panning for gold, biking, hiking, water skiing, beach. 4th of July fireworks at the beach were great. -

This log cabin has really amazing windows. Nothing like waking up in the master bedroom to the morning sunlight coming through the trees and into the window of the ceiling. But the best is the one in the living room - the entire wall of the living room is all glass. You can see and feel the trees all around you while you eat or relax on the sofa.
It is clean, new and beautiful. I was skeptical after seeing the photographs but it is exactly like the photos. It also has a hot tub, steam room and sauna. I enjoyed the sauna very much. The shower has two heads. Amenities are excellent - wireless and high-speed internet, satellite Hdtv, utensils, pots and pans. Just like at home (and more!). It is spacious, with a master suite and two guest bedrooms, and our whole family had a great time.
It is located near the town of South Lake Tahoe, which means you can cross the border to Nevada easily if you like gambling. Emerald Bay (the best place in Lake Tahoe) is just a short drive or a bike ride (if you are so inclined) away. -

Beautiful house in a beautiful forest location! Absolutely everything necessary was there. Towels , bedding, kitchen utensils. Everything and more. Loved my stay in the house. Would recommend to everyone!!!
