House was good size in a quiet neighborhood. Bbq and Jacuzzi on the deck were nice. Website advertised sleeps 10, rental contract stated no more than 6, so we kept quiet. Limited towels, had to wash towels after 3rd day. In my opinion, beds were too soft/old and frame not set up properly, mattress tilted down towards head. Sheets were too short, had to remake bed every day. For same price, have stayed in nicer homes with no issues.

I rented the Marshall Trail house in late May'011 for a long weekend with friends - Eight adults in total. The space is great, the neighborhood is sleepy and picturesque, we had a great time, but there were only a couple complaints...
1) There weren't enough towels, although the TKR website boasts capacity for 10! We had to wash/dry the six towels that were made available, and space out showers so, that all eight of us could dry off.
2) All the linens for the (2) sofa-sleepers (which sleep four out of the 10) were stamped with the words:
"Property of St. Mary's Hospital" - which is in Reno!? That was a bit unsettling for those who had to sleep in those beds. Although I'm certain they were sterile, it's just not what you expect to sleep in, when you're on vacation, in Tahoe!
3) There were no towels at all in the kitchen (dish/hand/etc) - nor were there paper towels made available, in their stead. We had to run out to get some.
--Nothing of the above was stored/available via any of the unlocked-linen closets either.
All and all, these are minor, yet easily remedied situations, on the management property's side.
If, however, their objective was to not provide sufficient/non-hospital linens/towels, then a simple clause on their website would suffice.
Lesson learned here: Always travel with extra towels and comfy home-use bedding. -

Started out great, loved location, home everything, till there was an electrical problem that made residence unsafe to remain there. Felt problem was a hazzard and unsafe to stay.

We truly are sorry that this occurred at the home. I know that you had stayed there before and liked it enough to return again. Our notes indicate that Sierra Pacific said that lead wires were damaged during a storm and did produce an unsafe condition. This was a highly unusual circumstance - and I do hope that you will return to give the home another try. It is lovely.

the house was surprisingly spacious. the added loft/second living room really made a difference.
my only complaints are that 1> there's no internet access and 2> the downstairs master bedroom does not get heated like the rest of the house. if you stay here, you should either put the "warm bodies" in this room, or you have to blast the heater a couple hours before bedtime while opening windows upstairs in order for the master room to be comfortable. there was a space heater supplied in the master closet, but we couldn't figure out how to make it work.
overall, we had a wonderful stay & would definitely recommend to a friend. -

We, Al & Olga Tesser stayed at stayed at 2287M - 2287 Marshall Trail on, Feb. 20-23, 2009 and, had an almost perfect stay however the sofa beds (two 2) are not a replacement for a bed. Thin hard mattresses, not comfortable at all so, without that issue, I would have given a 5 stars (Highly recommended)
