WELCOME TO SHANGRI-LA - South Lake Tahoe Exclusive/ (reclusive) home with breathtaking panorama views!

Sitting on the top of the Tahoe mountain in exclusive Angora Heights, this is a brand new, ultra-custom built and furnished home. The house is surrounded by forest and overlooks a majestic valley with views that are nearly 360° and run from Mt. Tallac, across Echo Summit and ending all the way around to Heavenly ski resort. Year-round Mt. Tallac with its snow caps or green forests fill the great room windows -- pictures just do not do it justice! All aspects of this house, from construction materials to furniture selection, were made... with utmost personal attention and were not meant for rental purposes. The owner has recently decided to live outside the US for a few years and hence it's being rented, but in a highly selective manner.

The four-story 4300sf. home has 6 spacious bedrooms, 5 full baths and accommodates up to 13 people. If you’ve just come in from the cold and a long day of skiing, chose a warm up option perhaps the Jacuzzi tub or steam shower in the master bedroom or even a cedar lined sauna in a common area downstairs. There are also 4 separate gas fireplaces to set the atmosphere on those snowy winter nights. In the warmer month, a well-maintained hiking/biking trail that connects to a plethora of other Tahoe trails runs right at the foot of the home's two-car garage. If you fancy dinner parties and entertaining, no expense was sparred to create a comfortable and fun environment -- the house has a large custom-designed dining room table with an adjacent bar and a spacey gourmet kitchen with luxury appliances. Moreover, there's a full sized slate pool table and topnotch foosball table upstairs in the entertainment room, HD televisions with Charter cable in almost every room (including 60" in the great room with surround sound). Bose speakers on the balcony will set the mood for the 8 person outside Jacuzzi allowing you to take in the entire setting in grand style. WI-FI is available throughout the entire house.

And the best part is that you are only few minutes on bike to the Fallen Leaf Lake or Angora Lake, and a 10-15 min drive to Lake Tahoe, Heavenly Valley Ski Resort and the casino resorts, restaurants, clubs, etc.

  Virtually every detail has been thought of in this home, with quality appointments and finishes throughout. I would highly recommend this property to anyone with either a large family or multiple families since it comfortably sleeps up to 12 comfortably with high end bedding and linens. Great outdoor jacuzzi, indoor sauna, game room, lots of large flat screen televisions and even an elevator!!!
  Truly a great home for entertaining or just relaxing. The best we've rented in Lake Tahoe!

  We loved the under floor heating and large communal spaces.It did take 12 hours for the house to warm up.
  The house was well appointed except for inferior pots and pans.
  The location is a little remote and involved a lot of schlepping to get to the slopes. However the hiking trail outside the door was a bonus.
  There was a leak in the hot tub which resulted in a large sheet of ice down one side of the driveway which made getting in and out of the garage a little tricky.
  Buckingham rentals is a company I would never do business with again as we had to settle for this house after they reneged on a contract which had been in place for a month for another property.
