Our group of 2 adults and 9 college students enjoyed a wonderful week of skiing and communing. The kitchen was so well equipped that we were able to cook each night, even a birthday cake and dinner! Each person had a comfortable place to sleep and the two gathering areas, upstairs and down, made for excellent entertainment options. The only problems were a few spiders and webs, lightbulbs out and no available chemicals for keeping the spa pristine. Responses to our phone calls for service were, for the most part,very good. We would definitely rent this wonderful family home again!

The property St34 was a delight to stay in. It was extremely well equipped and we lacked for nothing. Our family raved about the amenities and we found ourselves very content to "stay in" instead of venturing out of the house. We loved it and will definitely be back again as soon as we can all get together. The only issue was accessibility for my wife who is in a wheelchair. The multi-level arrangement was tough to deal with but we managed.

My family loved the house! It had plenty of room for our kids and grandkids to all be together. The house was completely stocked and we didn't need to bring many extras from home. The home is on a dead end street which meant there is very little traffic and noise. Buckingham Properties were so easy to work with and answered all of our questions we had and made us feel very comfortable. Thank you!

This is a beautiful home located in a very convenient location in South Lake Tahoe. It's in a quiet neighborhood at the end of a street with a forest service/campground accessible to take walks in. This is a great home for all types of vacations.
The bedrooms and common areas are well appointed with TVs in each bedroom (which is great when traveling with multiple families/kids). The only drawback I could find is that the second bedroom upstairs has a queen bed instead of a king; a minor issue.
The TV system in the living room upstairs is entirely too complicated and needs to be reconfigured to work with just 1 remote. There are instructions and it's workable, but having to use 3 remotes just to get the thing turned on with the volume working is just ridiculous in a rental. Again, this is such a minor issue that it by no means overshadows the wonderful things this home has to offer, however the owners should be advised this is an issue that needs to be fixed. There is a small (maybe 20) DVD library available consisting of older movies, most of them 5-10 years old. However there are redbox kiosks nearby.
The kitchen is beyond well appointed. It was so nice to have as much as it did. A crock pot, a wide assortment of mixing bowls, Pyrex, spices, a coffee bean grinder even! It could use a few more kitchen towels (cloth, not the paper kind), but perhaps we just use more than 2.
Service is great as well. We had 2 things break during our stay and as soon as I called the office to report them, a maintenance person came out the same day to replace one item and get the part information for the other. The office was so understanding and accommodating about the items breaking. -

This house was really beautiful, nicely laid out, and very comfortable. Very roomy common areas and a convenient location to ski resorts and restaurants, if you have a car.

We stayed at this property for five nights. It is definitely a cut above other places we have rented in Lake Tahoe. It is spacious and well equipped and in a great location.
We had a few small problems with bathroom hardware and one of the burners on the stove. However, they were minor inconveniences and we had no major problems during our stay.
Amenities such as the hot tub, barbecue and electronic games were excellent. It would be nice to consdier adding a horseshoe pit, as well.
Otherwise, I highly recommend this property for consideration.

My family and I had one of the best vacations ever during our stay. This property is close to hiking, biking, and the beach. The house itself has everything you need to feel at home. The kids loved the game room.

Beautiful home. We traveled with adults and children, and the home offered something for everyone. Furnishings and amenities were thoughtful with groups and families in mind. Location was excellent and the house was extremely well maintained. The only complaint we would have is being startled by a caretaker opening the front door and walking in on us. He apparently didn't know we were staying there.

We had a wonderful stay at this huge, very clean, classy place. There are many wonderful touches about the house not even mentioned in the description, including a discreet baby gate at the top of the stairs that allowed our twin babies to roam without extreme parent tension over the steps! Our older kids enjoyed the arcade game setup as well as the xbox games, and also enjoyed playing in the yard with all the recent snow. All the appliances worked well, the heating system was very effective in the freezing temperatures while we were there, and the bedding options were plentiful - even when I took off the down comforter, we stayed warm. The kitchen was well-stocked with nice plates and many tools. There was a nice grocery store (Raley's) about 8 minutes away, and although the house itself was tucked well away from businesses, there were plenty of restaurants within five minutes. So the location was a nice balance of quiet neighborhood with convenient access to amenities.
Plus, our dealings with the rental agency were superb - they were helpful, courteous, and responsive. We will use Buckingham again! -

We stayed at this home for the second time and rented homes with Buckingham for the third time. This house has all amenities you need in a perfect home. They had Video aracde and X-box to keep the kids occupied.
I wish they had a Pool Table for the adults.
The one issue I had with the management is, I tried to cancel or postpone the trip, because one of the friend and his family could not make it on the scheduled date, but management refused to change it.
I would still recommend this house and the propery management. 5 Stars.

In response to this guest's issue with moving his reservation, in normal circumstances we are able to do so. However, this guest called the day before his arrival to move his reservation. In a situation like that, we have to get the property owner's approval. In this case, the owner denied his request. We would have liked to accommodate this guest since he has stayed with us 3 times (and we value our repeat guests), however, it was not our call to make. *A good example of the importance in considering purchasing the travel insurance we offer.
