The house was beautiful! Had no trouble getting the key to the house or opening the garage. The location was great, close to the lake, casino and the resort. I will definitely rent here again and recommend to anyone.

San Francisco, CABest in 8 Years of Renting Cabins!
Left on 01/25/2012 for a stay in January 2012
Thank you for letting us stay at such a wonderful cabin! The location was great, quiet, interior was clean and modern, and the surround sound system for the main TV was amazing. I loved the dual head shower in the main bathroom and the fact that with two water heaters, there is no running out of hot water (which has always been a problem with our group)! Also with two heater systems, each floor can be all warm and cozy. This is the first time I've felt compelled to compliment the cabin after 8 years of renting cabins.

Laguna Beach, CARelaxing Getaway in South Lake Tahoe
Left on 12/28/2011 for a stay in December 2011
Our family of seven (all adults, 19-55 yrs) stayed here December 18-21, 2011. We absolutely enjoyed our time in South Lake Tahoe. The home is a few blocks from the lake, which we walked to daily and is a block away from the main street with places to eat, drink and shop. The amenities here are great - updated showers & kitchens, surround sound for movie watching, internet, foosball table, outdoor grill, piano, multiple televisions, fireplaces, washer & dryer, garage, backyard, comfortable beds, plenty of room to spread out and relax.
The kitchen, dining and living area are very open. We cooked and enjoyed several family meals together on the large dining table. If only there could have been snow, maybe next time!

Long Beach, CATahoe Thanksgiving
Left on 12/01/2011 for a stay in November 2011
Experience from booking to departure was great. The house was clean and completely stocked with everything we needed. The staff -- especially Micheal Rock -- was a pleasure to deal with! The house that we picked (actually Michael helped us select it!) was perfect for what we needed. It was convenient -- as we had easy access to the lake, shopping, etc. We will be back. Thx/WVM

Bay Area, CAEnjoyable
Left on 09/13/2011 for a stay in September 2011
Our visit was terrific. It was perfectly accommodating and comfortable environment to be in. I was a little sad that I never received the accurate password for the wi-fi or a follow up call from the ones I placed with the after-hours folks. The local staff that I did interact with were more than helpful and very pleasant to work with. I have already suggested to co-workers to work with Buckingham Properties. I very much look forward to our next trip to Tahoe and our next experience with one of your rentals.

San DiegoAbsolutely fabulous!!
Left on 05/26/2011 for a stay in May 2011
Eight of us women came to Lake Tahoe to celebrate the 60th birthday of 4 of us. We had a ball at the house and truly didn't want to leave it to even go to town to gamble. The house was beautiful and well appointed. We all were extremely impressed. The owner called us to ask how we were doing, which was very nice of her to do. We'd love to come back again and stay at this beautiful house.

Left on 09/25/2010 for a stay in September 2010
A group of friends and I had a girls weekend getaway, and we loved our choice to stay at this property. They had everything you could ever need, and had plenty of room. Because we had such a great time, we are going to make an annual girls weekend there !

Pleasanton, CalifoniaGood House for large group in winter for skiing.
Left on 03/06/2010 for a stay in February 2010
The house was very convenient for skiing (winter) were you are not going to use the deck and be outsid. Convenient to downtown South Lake Tahoe. For the summer and being outdoors, it overlooks other houses and commercial property which is not ideal. It had four bedrooms and three baths which were good for the 3 couples we had. The 4th bedroom with 4 bunk beds would work well for kids. We stored our luggage in the 4th bedroom. The downstairs kitchen was not very useful since it doesn't have a stove or oven but was good for drying out wet ski clothes. The upstairs kitchen was large and well equiped. Keys to the front door need to be replaced since they were very difficult to make work. Garage for two cars was very useful.
Overall all a good place for a ski vacation. -

FolsomWalking distance to beach, close to casinos ... great for kids
Left on 09/27/2009 for a stay in September 2009
This place was great - the home was updated and clean ... the 2 kitchens was well stocked with cook utensils, plates, cups. There are 4 bedrooms ... one big master, 2 with queen beds, 1 with 2 bunks (can sleep 4 kids), and 2 pull out beds. We had 4 families stay over Labor Day weekend with kids ranging from 1 to 5 yrs old ... it was perfect. We were walking distance (easily - even for 4-5 yr olds) to a sandy beach and also close driving distance to the casinos/shows/restaurants/clubs. It was quiet at night, there were a few DVDs and books for downtime and even a small foosball table downstairs. Buckingham Properties was easy to work with, and allowed us early check-in, late check-out. I will definately go through them again!

Belmont, CAThe Great Escape!
Left on 05/15/2009 for a stay in May 2008
My partner Ming and I stayed at the Duke's Residence recently and
enjoyed the spaciousness, modern amenities, and tasteful decor. The
lighting system is amazing and allows you to create any kind of mood
desired. The kitchen has every gadget you can imagine -- more than
our kitchen and we like to cook. The baths are amazing, and the beds
are most comfortable with the silky sheets. The place has plenty of
natural light and room to spread out. We weren't there during ski
season, but the slate floors are perfect for ski boots and snow. An
especially nice feature is the wireless internet since we are admittedly
addicted to the internet. The location is perfect and most convenient
to the lake, shops, and restaurants (ok, who needs the fancy kitchen?
). The Duke's Residence is a great retreat away from home. We spent
most of our time just lounging around reading, talking, and enjoying
all the luxuries. We highly recommend the place.
