This is a place of choice! Located on the bay side of the island, you can choose to sit on one of the two balconies and enjoy the sunset view while peacefully sipping your favorite beverage OR you can cross the boulevard and walk the few blocks to the beach side of the island. Lots of restaurants and action within a mile of the condo. This a great place for either families or couples. It sleeps 6 comfortably, but will accommodate 8 if room needed for small children. Located on the tropical tip of Texas, South Padre Island is bordered by the Gulf of Mexico and the Laguna Madre Bay. The great thing about South Padre is it is a year round vacation spot. Enjoy spectacular sunsets on the bayside, white beaches on the Gulf side, parasailing, fishing, dolphin watching.....and great kite flying all year long. Our condo is on the eastern end of the town, right next to the birding center and close to the convention center. The island is only a half mile at its widest point, so although we are on the bay side, it is an easy walk to the beach. If you have your own boat, an advantage is we have our own boat slip and easy access to the bay. We are located 3.4 miles from the Queen Isabella Bridge that connects the island with the mainland. South Padre has many great restaurants....some will even prepare your catch of the day! Be sure to stop by one of the beach bars for a delicious tropical drink. As is typical for most beach resorts, South Padre is very laid back....no ties or suits here. Bring those flip flops, sundresses, cut offs and t-shirts. The climate is great all year, with temps in the upper 60's in the winter and 90's in the summer.

This 2 bedroom bay side condo is a great place for a get away for either a short or long term stay. Six girls reunited for a long weekend where we had plenty of room to spread out and room to collectively play games, catch up and recount old stories. There is great access to the beach and bay. It is a quiet location and the other guests/residents were very friendly. The unit is clean and has plenty of amenities. It is a great price for the cost and we plan to return in the future. Thank you for your hospitality!

My husband and I stayed here with a friend for a week and had an incredible time. This condo is incredibly spacious and perfect for a small family or a getaway weekend for a couple or two. The main floor bedroom has two queen beds that can be shared amongst kids or even two couples. The loft provides a nice private room with a full bath, a balcony and a king size bed for the parents or another couple. The main living area is spacious, has a large balcony right off of it, and plenty of room for everyone to relax on the sofa to enjoy a movie or watch some TV. The kitchen is fully equipped (including a dishwasher) with whatever you need to whip up a delicious meal. It was really nice that each bedroom had its own bathroom. Addition to that, there was a full bathroom adjacent to the living room. The condo also has two doors of entry which made it convenient to enter/exit the condo. The condo was extremely clean, everything was in working order. The owners did a wonderful job decorating and making sure the condo was well stocked. The complex has a boat dock which enables you to launch your kayak/boat right into the bay. We stayed at the condo during spring break and were not bothered by any of the spring breaker students. The complex is very private and quiet. It is a gated complex with a security guard present every night. The complex is close to two South Padre Island beach accesses (one which has showers). It is next door to the South Padre Island Birding Center and the Sea Turtle Rescue which are great things to do if you need a break from the beach. The owners of the condo were great at communicating with us and they made the rental process extremely easy. The island itself was beautiful. There was always something to do and things to see. We had a wonderful time staying at this condo and I highly recommend booking this place for your next trip to the island. A +++

My 2 teenage daughters and I spent a week in the condo to celebrate the holidays. They loved the comfortable queen-size beds in their room, I enjoyed the the quiet of the private loft & balcony upstairs. Vickie was so wonderful to deal with, both before and during our stay (when I had to email a last-minute question). Our hosts thought of everything we'd need ahead of time, from dishes to beach towels to a binder full of suggestions for the island--even champagne, hats and noise-makers for New Year's Eve!
This was our second visit to the island, but not our last--we'd be happy to stay here again!Response from S & S - 02/20/2013

Unit has all that a family needs with upstairs room for Mom and Dad and sep room for kids. Ample seating to relax in front of the TV.
Pros: 3rd floor view was very nice. Enjoy mornings watching birds fish in Canal. Beds are good size. Sep room for M&D; a plus. Pool in good shape with outdoor shower. Beach across the street. Not too far north on island. Sea Turtle rescue and birding center walking distance. Good High speed internet. Dock in the back had some great fishing. (Kids loved it!!!)
Cons: Microwave does not work. Lots of stairs (Fine with me but some may not like). Pool is hot in afternoon. Unit is older so not so fancy.Response from S & S - 10/03/2012

Having a family of 2 young ones can be quite challenging when looking for a vacation spot. This condo is centrally located to where we were near all the amenities South Padre has to offer (without all the traveling with the kids). Also, my husband and I were able to have some alone time while the kids played effortlessly in "their" room. My favorite part is that we could come together as a family to eat, but then the kids could go explore through the great layout of this condo. We will definitely repeat our stay at this condo. When we were going to leave, the little ones asked if we could come back the next weekend. That is always a good sign. Thank you for giving this great value to our family.

My husband and I live in Colorado and were looking for a perfect family friendly place to vacation in South Padre. S&S; Condo was exactly what we were looking for. It was roomy and spacious and had the perfect "beach" feeling to it. I liked how it was close enough to the beach, but not too close so at night we were able to still have the peaceful famliy atmosphere that our 1 year old needed. I would definitely stay here again and recommened it to my friends!
