Spacious beachside vacation rental (2BR/2BA, 1500 sq. feet) owned and operated by internationally-known master sand sculptor Lucinda "sandy feet" Wierenga. Eclectic "beach shack chic" accommodations feature a pool table, an upright piano, wooden floors, handcrafted driftwood furniture, and a cook's dream kitchen. Two big decks and large, airy common area make this a great place for gatherings. The back deck overlooks a lush tropical garden and sand sculpture gallery and practice area. Amenities include wifi, sandcastle lessons and full access to all the owner's beach toys and sandcastling equipment.

Great Place to Stay!
We had a great time! My husband, my 20 yr old son, our dogs and I were all welcome... It was just the relaxing get away we were looking for. Lucinda was great we were very happy with our experience & would highly recommed for anyone with dogs that you enjoy vacationing with!!

A very comfortable rental that was very close to the beach.
My friend and I and her 10 year old son stayed here in June of 2011. The furnishings are very eclectic and interesting. The space was very open. There was plenty of room for the 3 of us. There's a room downstairs with a double bed and a room upstairs with a double bed and two twin beds. There is also a bathroom upstairs and downstairs. There's a kitchen and dining room so we bought groceries and ate most of our meals here to save money. And it's very easy to access the beach from here. The beach is only a block away so you can easily walk there even carrying chairs and towels, etc. We took sand castle lessons offered by the owner who is very nice. I would stay here again.

Great rental that actually allows pets!
The Sandbox Inn is a wonderful rental just a quick walk away from the beach and a couple of restaurants. It is very roomy and comfortable. It feels like staying at a friend's house rather than a vacation rental. The full kitchen also helped make it feel more like home because we didn't need to go out for every meal.

My two children and brother stayed at The SandBox Inn and had a wonderful time. This was a first time for us and it was wonderful. I have an aunt that lives in New Port Beach , Ca and it reminded me so much of her home, the lay out, the color and so close to the beach. I felt like I was at home. What a pleasure it was to stay here, I would think if your a beach lover this the place to be. Close to great places to eat, close to the beach and great for R & R. I would get this place a 10 plus, get for all ages. If , you get an urge to go to the beach The Sand Castle is the place to go.
