La Playa is one of the smaller (only 20 units) - and friendlier! - condominium complexes centrally located right on the beach and within walking distance of fine restaurants, shopping areas, night clubs and a grocery store. These adorable, quaint units are directly on the beach. Every unit has a fantastic view of the ocean and the awesome sunrises. Great for families and you will enjoy walking out of your unit over the grassy lawn onto the beaches of South Padre Island. La Playa offers one and two bedroom units. Nice place a little dated

The La Playa is a nice simple condo to rent out. It fulfilled our basic lodging needs. The place is clean, it has a kitchen has basic cable TV. It is right on the beach or at least when you walk across the small divider of grass. The condo's are quiet with mostly families and seniors staying here. It is easy to reach all parts of the island from here.
