new yorkJust like home only peaceful
Left on 10/12/2012 for a stay in September 2012
We stayed at this cottage teh week after labour day 2012, when we arrived we found the cottage to be in order and very clean and comfortable. The furnishings were reminiscent of a country cottage I knew as a child. Amazingly the kitchen was incredibly stocked, there was nothing missing as my husband and I cooked dinner there nightly. Much to my delight we were left with fresh ice cubss in the trays and in a container. The views of the ocean were lovely from the decks. I can go on and on but suffice it to say that 95 Rockwell is place I will return to and is in the heart of the loveliest town on the Cape, Wellfleet

Left on 07/20/2011 for a stay in July 2011
We rented 95 Rockwell from July 9 -16th. The house is beautiful. A home away from home and immaculately clean. We offered to take our 8 and 9 year old on various adventures on the Cape and they refused. The didn't want to leave the house/beach! (nor did we!) Armand made check-in a breeze and we were settled in quickly. Having rented all over the Cape for many, many years I have to admit that 95 Rockwell might be my favorite property and it will be hard to stay anywhere else with my family! The beach is lovely, the neighbors were friendly, easy commute to the center of town/harbor...Pb Boulangerie down the street...And a washer and dryer! My husband and I loved the sitting area and roof deck in the master suite and having our own bathroom. It was nice to have a place to retreat after the kids went to sleep where we weren't disturbing them and could still hear/see the ocean. All in all one of our favorite vacations!

Naugatuck, CTIt was an absolutely perfect vacation!
Left on 11/13/2009 for a stay in August 2009
Our stay at 95 Rockwell Ave. was certainly one of our best vacation experiences. The house itself was very comfy, cozy, roomy, and immaculately clean. It came equipped with everything we needed including a washer and dryer which was super convenient. Firewood was provided for a bonfire on the beach which was totally awesome.
The best of course was it's location...just a short walk down the dirt road and there you were...at the top of the dune. It was such a luxury to just pop down to the beach whenever and not have to worry about driving. We enjoyed the view and on some nights could here the sound of the surf. Also, if you are into biking like us it was an easy mile ride to the bike trail. I can't say enough about its location. It was an easy drive to the other beaches and to ponds and a short drive to Wellfleet Center without having to get on Rt. 6, a big plus considering summer traffic.
Last but not least was our wonderful, kind, and gracious host, Armand. We truly thank him for making our stay so very pleasant.

Concord, NHLocation and staff great, but...for the money, not worth it
Left on 09/04/2009 for a stay in July 2009
I have great praise for Armand, but, I was stunned by how many bugs were in the house, and they just wouldn't stop coming, especially the kitchen and bathroom. Dead bugs everywhere, we would clean, and then they would come back. It was gross. The house was cute, just the right size for a very small family, needs updating, and would love to see them get rid of front door and instead put a sliding door to go onto the deck, would also make the place seem bigger and more airy. They should also remove the carpeting and turn into hardwood floors in living room. The walk down to the beach wasn't great, but, it was close enough, the other surfside cottages are an easier walk down. But, it was quiet, and peaceful, and the outdoor shower was nice. Just don't think it was worth the money we paid.

The cottage has been renovated from top to bottom in 2011. A sliding glass door from the living room onto the deck was installed as this writer recommended. Carpeting was removed and hardwood floors were installed throughout the house.
If the renter had notified us that there was a problem with ants we would have taken care of it immediately. It is no longer a problem. -

After a warm and spot-on friendly welcome from Armand, we settled into a charmingly-decorated, user-friendly and clean cottage that is really perfect for a couple. Though it can acommodate up to five people, it seemed to us that the room upstairs might get really hot and stuffy during hot spells (hence the AC unit and fans...). Otherwise, it was extremely comfortable, luminous and perfectly located: we had hoped for a quiet spot from where we could see and hear the ocean and got exactly that, with the added bonus of being less than 200 ft from the trail down to the beach. The cottage is nicely shielded from the neighbours by lovely trees and shrubs, and feels very private. During warm days though, hope for quiet neighbours because voices echoe and carry through open windows. All in all, we had a very restful, happy and enjoyable stay in this homelike cottage. Hope you will too!

We were there for the first week of June. It is a good to time to avoid the crowds of the summer and enjoy the activities of Cape Cod. The cottage being in a National Park,it is quiet and surrounded by trees, shrubs, birds and cute little rabbits. It is close enough to the beach. The main bedroom has a very comfortable bed. The living room is cosy and convenient. The kitchen is large and equipped with modern and high quality appliances and utensils. The location is convenient to reach all places of interest on the Cape. On the deck one can sit in the sun and have a nice view of the ocean. Armand, the manager is a very nice person and always ready to help or provide the guests with useful information. On our next trip to Cape Cod, we will certainly make this our first choice for a cottage.
