This is a three bedroom cottage that sleeps up to 6 people. Surf Side, only 400 steps from the beautiful Atlantic Ocean, is a spacious two-story, three-bedroom cottage that has undergone extensive renovations and can comfortably accommodate 6 people. It has a very large screened in porch the entire width of the cottage with a large sunny deck above it (new in 2009) which is great place to enjoy a morning cup of coffee and relax with drinks in the evening. Located on a dead-end street (no thru traffic) this cottage is in a neighborhood of cottages that are all a short walk (400 steps) to the ocean beach at LeCount Hollow (aka Maguire's Landing). Parking at the cottage. A short 1/2 mile walk away, there is a wonderful French Bakery offering decadent pastries daily. The cottage is located 3 miles from Wellfleet center and it is an easy drive to local fresh water ponds.

The cottages are on Lacount's Hollow Beach in Wellfleet - which is the upper cape. We saw wild life and heard the ocean and had such restful nights sleeping! The cottage is well-equipped and comfortable. In the morning we drove down to PB Bistro to partake of the unbelievably fresh, luscious French baked pastries - chocolate stuffed croissants - lovely buttery stuff. Being at Lecounte's Hollow is one of the best locations because you can get to Chatham and get to Provinceton. We will always come back!

1. This cottage is not ON Lecount Hollow beach but it is only 400 steps away.
2. Our location is on the "outer" Cape. The upper cape is by the bridges,

We thoroughly enjoyed our week at Surfside. The cottage is very comfortable, with everything that you could possibly need, and the beach, well - perfection! Armand was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable - we'll definitely be back next year!

A hidden gem among the clean, white sandy beaches of the upper cape, Surf Side Cottages have much to offer in the way of ocean retreats. Tucked away in a quiet residential neighborhood, the only sound you hear is the crashing of the waves echoing from LeCount Hollow beach, which is just steps away from your cottage.
My family and I have been coming to Surf Side cottage for many years and each time we are greeted with excellent service from armand and Lisa, and a clean, well-maintained cottage fitted with every amenity needed to enjoy our stay. Each morning we walk to the beach with our black lab, "Riley", for a nice long stroll that is the most relaxing part of the day. The only souls on the beach are the surfers catching an early wave.
Surf Side's location is within minutes of some of the best shopping, dining, and recreation on the cape. Historic Provincetown is under twenty minutes away by car, where you can stroll Commercial Street or catch a Whale Watch tour off the pier. There is something for every interest and all within a short distance from this quaint oceanside retreat.
Overall Surf Side has become a home away from home and we will continue to stay every year, knowing that we will leave (unwillingly)with another memorable experience! -

This three bedroom cottage has been completely updated and is within walking distance of the national seashore beaches. It is clean and comfortable and has a fully equipped kitchen and a large fireplace. The only negative is a steep, narrow staircase to the upper bedrooms. A trip downstairs in the middle of the night to use the only bathroom can be dangerous if you are not paying attention. Some carpeted stair treads would help.

I have stayed at this cabin for several years. It has always been everything I am looking for in a vacation cabin. The recent remodeling has made it even better. The deck is awesome and the updated lighting is very much appreciated. The manager is the iceing on the cake! He was so attentive and friendly that we felt really cared for. It does have a steep stairway. It reminds me of the ship's stairway at my Grandmother's house so I don't mind it at all, but some might find it difficult. I really can't imagine a more delightful home-away-from-home.

I read about Surfside Cottages in a Cape Cod guidebook. The managers were extremely helpful in describing the various cottages available when we called to make our reservation, and were just as helpful when we arrived. We stayed in Surf Side Cottage 3 for four nights in late May 2009 and loved it. The location is great and the cottage was charming. The rooms and furniture were in excellent condition. The cottage has a fireplace, new kitchen, screened-in porch, skylights, a second floor balcony, a barbeque and a bike room. You can hear the ocean from the porch. The cottage is one block from the ocean and about 1/2 mile from the Cape Cod rail trail bike path. The cottage had EVERYTHING we needed - dishes, corkscrew, fireplace matches. The stairs to the second story are very steep, which would not be good for young children or people with mobility problems. For anyone else, I highly recommend it.

This was a delightful cottage. The renovations were done with a great deal of care and thought. It has everything you need for a restful vacation. The location can not be beat. It was quiet and private. The rooftop deck offered nice evenings watching the full moon. The beach was an easy walk so we were able to take advantage of that quite a bit. The caretaker was very responsive and attentive. We would return in a heartbeat.
