    Additional Location Information

The most unique benefit of staying at Cote D'azur Bermuda is the location.
The amenities in the apartment are top notch but the location is really stellar. Gibbs Hill Lighthouse, Bermuda's most popular VISITOR attraction is practically in our back yard. 12 restaurants are within walking distance, Bermuda's most popular beaches are less than a mile away, the view is awesome, there are anumber of walking trails nearby (including The Bermuda Railway Trail) and the neighborhood is quiet and friendly. It is really a great spot to have a perfect Bermuda vacation.

      Great experience!

Left on 03/17/2013 for a stay in February 2013

Spent Feb 23-March 2, 2013, at Cote D'azur. Mary and Mike(Swan) have a beautiful home on a hill with a gorgeous view of the ocean and surrounding homes. The 2 bedroom apartment is lovely, fully furnished and has all the amenities of home.Felt like We were living in Bermuda for the week. Kitchen is fully supplied and I was super happy to have the complimentary coffee and tea to start the day. The beds were very comfortable and the attention to detail is everywhere, such as makeup mirros in the bedrooms,a ton of storage in closets and dressers , iron, etc...separte dinning and tv rooms, all very comfortable and great views. Having a washer and dryer( soap supplied)was a bonus, especially coming from the beach wet and full of sand. Patio doors to let in the breeze and lounge chairs and patio set to enjoy the sunrise and magnificant sunsets..Lots of pamplets/maps and info to help you decide what to do, if you are not sure Mary and Mike are the happy to help you. everything from what you should see, where to eat, and Bermuda history. We had use of a cell phone, it had 5 minutes air time on it and I easily loaded airtime from the cell store. It has Mary and Mikes phone#'s as well as a taxi#, just is case you got lost...Buses were easy to get, cheap and the drivers friendly and helpful. My daily walk around the neighbourhood was wonderful...We walked to Horseshoe Bay, and Church Bay(15mins each), there is also a picnic basket with supplies to use!Enjoyed snorkeling, beachcombing and the pink sand.
I can't say enough about the wonderful hospitality of both Mary and Mike. Mike is a great ambassador for Bermuda, so enjoyed his stories and local history past and present...Go to Bermuda, Stay at Cote D'azure, it will be one of the best vacation experiences you will have. Thanks Mary and Mike, look forward to a future stay at Cote D'azure.

Gracious hospitality at a well-equipped rental

Left on 10/25/2012 for a stay in October 2012

In early October my boyfriend and I traveled to Bermuda with another couple and were lucky enough to stay at Cote D'Azur. From the moment we arrived at the property, Michael made us confident we had made the right choice for accommodations. After showing us around the unit, Michael sat down with us and showed us a map of the island, answering any questions that we had. He was an amazing resource when it came to where we should go and what we should do during our stay. He also offered us a rental cell phone, which we decided to use. It came in very handy for making reservations and calling taxis.
The unit itself is in great condition. It is obvious that Michael spared no expense when decorating the space. Everything we needed in the kitchen was provided - all we had to do was go to the grocery store! The location of this unit is fantastic. We were able to walk to gorgeous beaches (about a 15 minute walk) and to restaurants. The only issue we had during our stay was getting taxis to come get us. Luckily we learned that it was easier to get taxis if you walk down to Henry Xiii.
I would certainly recommend this unit to anyone staying in Bermuda.

      Paradise Found!

Left on 09/14/2012 for a stay in September 2012

We recently spent a glorious week in Bermuda.
We have never been and although we have friends there we were not certain what to expect.
Our accommodation did not disappoint. It had all the comforts of home and made entertaining a breeze. Our view was breath taking, the hosts were obliging and helpful.
This property rests on one of the prettiest parts of Southampton and is conveniently close to bus stops, beaches, etc.
Gibbs lighthouse is just up over the hill and at night we would lay out under the stars and enjoy it's radiant beam.
We truly enjoyed our stay at Cote D'azur and hope to return next year, truly a little piece of paradise.

A little slice of heaven with a heartfelt welcome to the neighbo

Left on 07/15/2012 for a stay in June 2012

Our home for the week, the first floor apartment of handsomely landscaped house on a hilltop, was as well equipped and comfortable as one could hope for; the owners have been thoughtful in their planning and have decorated the apartment as if it was their own home. Situated in a peaceful, residential neighborhood, there is no need for a car. We could easily walk to the public dock, the Railroad Trail, and the local bus stop. When we first arrived, our landlord very kindly took us to the grocery store and drove us around to get the lay of the land. We were frequently given lifts to town by neighbors or friendly folks at the gas stations where we stopped for directions. To top it off, the homeowners went out of their way to welcome us to their world, inviting us up for a visit and taking us for a spin on the family speed boat.

Southampton, Bermuda is lovely. Everywhere we turned, there was a stunning vista; sometimes it was the hillsides of white roofed, colorful homes nestled in lush foliage and, other times, crystal blue waters. We saw a fantastic variety of birds, which makes sense, considering that Bermuda is so lush and clean. Eye candy no matter where you looked. Our neighborhood landmark was the Gibbs Hill lighthouse, with a delicious restaurant at the base. The "Henry the 8th" restaurant, also within walking distance, was a particularly friendly, welcoming, classic neighborhood restaurant/pub with a spectacular view and delicious flavors.

We went into Hamilton for dinner and to wander one night; another day, we headed to the Dockyard to see the museum, glassblowers, and other tourist attractions; we enjoyed a hike along the Railroad Trail and a picnic at the Botanical Gardens, but what we enjoyed the most was just hanging out in such a nice, calm environment. Snorkeling and swimming were a part of our routine. We could walk to the beach or hop the bus a couple of stops to get to more private alcoves. The calm, crystal blue waters became our lap pool for the week, with the occasional parrot fish or barracuda for entertainment and there is, indeed, a hint of pink in the finely grained, sandy beaches.

      We'll be back!
