This was our second year renting Moore Fun. We love the house and it's location. Everything suits our "extended family" well with the set up in the bedrooms and the open third floor. The second floor also provides a "private" area with a TV and sound system that the families with children used while the adults were upstairs.

always house was great - very clean ready on time.
2nd time we rented this house.. so nice... anyone checking this out go for it,. close to duck - starbucks and good

This place was great, but a little expensive. The first 3 days we were there we had the red flag flying. Some recommendations would be to have 1 bunkbed in each of the single twin bed rooms with one twin bed. Also, having the wireless router on the second floor in the kids room did not work out very well. The signal was too weak on the top floor.

The house on arrival was all that we had hoped for. Once we got settled we started to realize that it wasn't what we had hoped for. There's a note that states what you are responsible for doing during your stay...that's not what a vacation is all about. If you want people to take out the garbage then provide garbage bags. Once set of towels per room left us having to do laundry each day...not what a vacation is all about. I appreciated the early check in at noon, but when there's trash on the floor (one person stepped on a sleeve of staples!) and the bathrooms have mold in them, I would rather check in later and have the place cleaned properly. We also had a problem with the fire place not working. When I called it in I was told it was working earlier in the day. When someone came to service it 2 days later, it was found that the tank wasn't hooked up, the line had a problem, and the pilot was filthy. How could it have been working earlier in the day??? The screen door was broken allowing flies to come in. We were not able to keep the door open and enjoy the nice days because of it. All in all, we had a good time, but if I owned that house I would have a problem with the way the realty company is keeping it. Basic repairs & cleanliness are the biggest complaints that we had and don't feel we got our money's worth out of it.

Even with 3 days of rain, we had a great time staying at Moore Fun. The house is so comfortable and open we felt like we were together yet we could have our own little conversations going also. The young ones had their own little room to play, we had a 2000 piece puzzle going plus some read while others watched TV. When we visit OBX we like to cookout and make meals at the house. Our problem with doing our group meals at Moore Fun was the lack of plates, glasses, etc. There was enough for one meal at a time. We were constantly running the dishwasher or using paper plates and cups which we had not prepared to do. Not a big issue but something worth addressing. Other than that, the house, location and everything else about it is great. We've stayed at a number of homes throughout OBX and everyone was very pleased with this house with it's openness and big bedrooms. We must have been really happy with Moore Fun because we've already booked it again for next year.

Moore fun is a Resort Club property which made our check in early and simple. We were able to food shop and go directly to house by noon and check in and put food away. Check in was simple--a realtor called to give us entry code to door. The home was beautiful. We vacationed with 4 families and had plenty of room. All the bedrooms are masters with private baths which was awesome. We loved having two dishwashers, refrigerators and washer and dryers. There was ample room for dining. The location on the oceanfront in Southern Shores was perfect. The beach was very quiet and not crowded. What we enjoyed most were that nearly all the rooms had phenomenal views and we loved the well appointed kitchen. Our only complaint was that with all the amenities there was only one 2 slice toaster (not enough for our group) and we would have enjoyed a gas grill over the charcoal one provided. We would definitely stay at Moore fun again.

The house was very nice - spacious and bright. We had 7 children under the age of 10. It got kinda of noisy only having the two floors. Would have been nice to have a bottom living level with rec room.

The only negative was the traffic this year, thank goodness "Moore Fun" is so close to the bridge, we did not have to fight the traffic too long before we were enjoying a fantastic home with 7 master suites, ideal for our extended family vacation in a location that is right in the middle of all kinds of activity but at the same time very calming with every possible luxury !

Some of my favorite things: lots of King sized beds, very clean, two dishwashers, awesome pool, screened-in porch, quiet strip of beach, elevator.
Things to be aware of: There is a beach access right next to the house (not sure if it is public or not) but there was very little traffic and the beach never seemed crowded even on the hot July days we were there. During the morning and evening "rush hour" it can be difficult to pull out onto the main road from the driveway, especially if you are headed south where most of the restaurants and activities are. Leave early if you have reservations because we often had to drive North a bit and then turn around rather than take a left out of the drive.
We travel to the Outer Banks every other year with our extended family and this is our favorite house yet! The location is great and the management made it very easy to check in and out. The elevator helped with my Mom, who has trouble with stairs, and was greatly appreciated when luggage and groceries had to make it to the third floor. This house was close enough to all the activities, yet far enough away from all the hustle and bustle. Loved it! -

Moore Fun is a great home with lots of king master bedrooms and beautiful ocean views. Our extended family loved having 2 sets of washers and dryers and dishwashers. Beds are a bit hard, but rooms are nice. The home is clean and the pool is wonderful.

Great house, great pool and hot tub. Wish pets were allowed, would never rent this home again because not pet friendly. Are planning on renting again next year in different house. Loved location. Needs more pots and pans for cooking... Loved it though!

Dishwashers didn't work at first and had to be reset. Fireplace didn't work, and after twice being serviced during our stay, was found to need a replacement part and was not fixed in time for our use. Heat upstairs did not work at first and had to be serviced. Perhaps the worst part was that wireless internet was advertised as one of the amenities, but there was no internet until RR had it installed the day before we left.
Otherwise, all the maintenance men that came into the home every day were very friendly and apologetic. This place would have been a five star rating with me. -

Great property and location. Our 5th year rental and reserved for 2010 and 2011. Plenty of room.

Reservation staff excellent; housekeeping prior to arrival excellent;Beds comfortable; kitchen well equipted.
House is showing some age like the rest of us. Pool chairs and house siding, especially front porch, need power washing; 2nd floor decking needs repair; Screen porch on 2nd floor needs repair; lock on sliding door to 2nd floor screen porch doesn't work; rt. dishwasher rack needs new roller; Gas grill needs to be replaced (reported after 2007 rental); ice maker in kitchen refrigerator works only occasional; hot tubs needs jet replacement; and carpets on 2nd floor showing wear. -

This is a very nice home, and it was very nicely laid out. All master bedrooms with their own bathrooms-Very Nice! Furnishings/wall hangings were very nice as well. A well equiped kitchen! Nice beach access, and a nice pool!!
The only thing our family wished it had was a bathroom on the ground level near the pool. It would've saved us from going upstairs-Upper level, to the only non-private bathroom in the house. Other than that, It was great and we definitely would stay at "More Fun" again!!!!

This home has a great floor plan, a deck with comfortable chairs, a screened porch so you can be outside with protection and is one of the few places that offers a step in shower! (great for seniors) The location offers easy access to all areas, both north and south beaches. It also has excellent parking space for cars, so no one blocks others in. We highly recommend it!!

Our children and grandchildren joined us for Thanksgiving week and sll agreed it was the perfect house for the three generations. It is a beautifully planned house and well cared for. It was well equipped and furnished and had extra room that allowed us to be together but apart when we wanted some quiet time. We all agreed we wanted to be there again this thanksgiving but we waited too long - it was already taken and we were so disappointed. O hoope this year's renters don't like it as much as we did so we can beat them out for reservations next year. Enjoy. You will LOVE everything about it.
Resort Realty personnel were great to work with. They made the rental process smooth, were available if we needed them and we would definitely deal with them again
