I took 3 teenage girls for a week. The tv in my room did not work; the home phone did not work and I had no cell phone to be reached on; the living room tv did not work until the end of our stay. I called these problems in several times. Lack of contact with the girls really worried me. I stopped by the office as I left and an agent said I would probably get some kind of rebate but it did not happen. After renting through SS many years with various family members I will not go back due to their lack of concern.

This cottage was adequate as far as ammenities but was, by far, the dirtiest cottage we've ever rented in our 30+ years of coming to the Outer Banks. This is probably more a slam on the rental agency's cleaning staff (and the previous renters) than it is on the cottage itself. The walk to the beach is easy and you don't have to cross any main roads to get to it. The cottage itself, however, sits close to Duck Road. So sometimes the noise level from the passing cars was a bit loud. I would recommend this cottage only to very small groups.
