Home was great except it took two days to thaw out
the icemaker, but not that long for the fridge.
Beach access was convenient. The elevator was a big
help for loading and unloading, especially for two
semi-invalids in our party. -

Overall a very nice stay. Nice house with lots of
room. One problem: mice. What we thought was a small
problem early in the week (saw a mouse) became bigger
as we realized the house was pretty much infested
with mice. -

This house has terrific bedrooms with lots of room, closet space and well located bathrooms. This was the selling feature for me. Location across the road from the beach is an extra benefit. The one down side, is that there is not enough open space for the whole group to watch a movie. It's a give and take I guess.

This house is very new and also very clean. There is enough space for at least a dozen guests. Excellent bedrooms with 5 that could be master bedrooms. There is a wonderful view of the ocean. The street does get crowded and it takes you a few minutes to cross at busy times. The elevator is great for getting your stuff upstairs (we have never had one in a house before).
We really enjoyed our week.
The Blue Marlin II is first class.

We came to OBX to attend a wedding which just happened to be across the street. This house accommodated our family and still left room to breath. The center level was a great addition to our overall comfort. The pool was still open and the hot tub enjoyable. Everything we needed was there and we would recommend this home.

Blue Marlin II is a beautiful, modern, nicely laid out, and well kept property with many conveniences, amenities, and a great view. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The house is close to shopping and dining, but not in the thick of things. The beach is spacious and not crowded at all. In general, I would recommend this house for a group of adults, not to families with children. Getting to and from the beach often required a long wait for heavy traffic to clear so we could cross the street, and we could not let the smaller children go unescorted. Also, there is no yard, front or back, for children to play in nor is there any sporting equipment (volleyball net, basketball net, ping pong table, pool table, dart board) to entertain children or teens. The only disappointment about our stay happened upon our arrival, when we were shocked to find out that towels and linens were not included in the $6000/week for the rental (very disappointing).
