We stayed at this home in august, with 10 people in total including 4 kids (two of them under 6). The house was as advertised, in very good condition and with beautiful views. The upstairs living room/kitchen was huge and open, and a great place for all to hang out (with room for all at the dining room table). And, there's a great deck to eat at, too. The pool was a good size, and the house is really close to the beach--close enough to walk down every night to enjoy the sunset.
My only complaint would be the security of the pool area. While it is completely fenced in, my 5 year old (who is tall) could easily reach the latch and get into the pool himself. So beware if you are visiting with young kids. There were a few beach items, but you need to bring a beach cart, umbrella, chairs, and bikes if you want to enjoy those things.

This house is a great value for its location. We usually stay either Oceanfront or semi-oceanfront but decided to economize. This house had close, easy access to the beach walkway and ocean views from the top deck. The two older couples arrived with their 4 adult children and significant others, all of us being foodies who love to cook. The kitchen was well equipped and spacious enough for many chefs at a time. The long dining room table made for lively dinner conversations. Appreciated the stop light at the end of the street for those left-hand turns onto busy beach road. Very convenient to Duck and points south as well. Southern Shores kept development from over-crowding which keeps the beaches uncrowded. House felt very private.
Beautiful fun spacious family time celebrating life and love one

Casa Sirena felt like home the first day. Wonderful kitchen and dinning area with the sun rising and settings in full splendor! Lots of pictures! The beach is so close and never any crowded days. Having a stop light is worth more than you realize until Saturday/Sunday rush hours. Super easy to find the Casa and the car port has tons of parking and storage. It was close enough to walk to Duck Donuts ( every day). We had a north east wind and the surf was great for the kids and the adult surfers. I hooked up afternoon tee times, recommend Kilmarnok ((15 miles on mainland) and Currituck club (Corolla). The horses (wild) hang out around the Corolla lighthouse so go there and drive safe! We plan to make Casa Sirena an annual family vacation! Thanks to the Hardy family and Southern reality for a wonderful vacation. (I didn't even talk about the pool and hot tub (stayed in them late...)..and one street from the tennis court (bring water because it's hot and sunny)

Brown-Eyed Girl was fantastic. I cannot say enough good things about it.
The home is gorgeous, open, beautifully decorated, and extremely well
appointed. The owners even called while we were there to make sure
everything was to our liking. That was a nice touch.
Our group consisted of our extended family - grandparents, my sister's
family, and mine. Kids ranged in age from 3 - 9. Everyone loved the home
and commented frequently about what a great pick it was. The view of the
ocean is wonderful (as is its proximity), though we also enjoyed watching
for wildlife in the back yard. Spotting a family of red foxes was a highlight.
Everyone also enjoyed the pool and hot tub. They were very clean, with
plenty of seating by the pool.
I am persnickety about cleanliness when I travel and this place was spotless.
