You will experience panoramic ocean views, the beauty of the sunrise and sunset, on both levels of this wonderful home. The vaulted great room and gourmet kitchen are a wonderful gathering place for the whole family. Best of all are the private screened in porch, sun deck, dune deck, and the walkway to the wide, quiet, uncrowded beach. D.C. Coast is a short bike ride to the neighborhood amenities and is a short distance to shopping and restaurants in Duck and Kitty Hawk.

Left on 06/26/2009 for a stay in June 2009
This was our fourth year staying at DC Coast. As we turn into the driveway and are greeted by the crab on the stairway, we know we are "home" - for one glorious week. This home is the perfect setting for my husband & I to spend one whole week with our grandson, Ethan, now 6(we even invite his parents along as well).
Located on a quiet street safe for walking & bicycling, this home has all the amenities one could imagine: beautifully decorated and comfortable (I could spend the entire summer on the screened porch), completely furnished kitchen, extremely comfortable beds and linens, the large deck and beach right out back, beach equipment, chairs and umbrellas in the garage, top of the line appliances, including a washer/ dryer and laundry detergent. We live in Arizona and having a house so well furnished is a big help to us. Ethan loves the loft where we enjoy a good game of checkers.
The home is close to markets: Harris Tweeter, Tommy's & Food Lion. The shops and restaurants in Duck & SShores are minutes away.
I have been vacationing at the Outer Banks for over 55 years mostly in KHawk, KDHills, & NHead. In 2004 & 2005 we rented the beautiful home Westerly on the sound thru Southern Shores Realty. Our experience with SSRealty was so positive, that when the Westerly was no longer offered for rent, we looked for another property thru your company. The staff, the properties, and the service are tops! In 2007 I reported to SSR that the home was not very clean when we arrived. You listened and the next year it was spotless. Brenda has now taken over the cleaning/ laundry and she is the Best!
Each year for one week the community of Southern Shores and the surrounding areas become our home. The best part of our vacation is spending time with our grandson. Our only regret is that we can not stay the summer.
