The house is very nice and well maintained. It has a pool and hot tub. The location was wonderful. It is very close to the beach and shopping. It has keyless entry which is very convenient to check in and check out (no waiting in lines). The house is pet friendly so we did not have to find some one to keep our dogs. We had plenty of room for everyone.

We have been renting at Southern Shores for twenty years. We have always enjoyed the accommodations and the Southern Shores services. This year was the best. The home had everything our family needed and the proximity to the beach was tremendous. The weather was cooperative and we hope to return next season.

I did have a some issues.....However Donna at Southern Shores was wonderful and made me feel like a valued customer and I look to our next vacation in a Southern Shores property because of the quality of the service she provided.

This house was absolutely stunning. All the rooms had such lovely furnishings. The kitchen was stocked with all the best tools. The view from the deck was simply beautiful. The location was an extra added bonus -- only steps away from the beach.
I've rented many houses at Southern Shores over the years and this house was simply the best.
I highly recommend staying at this lovely, beautiful house when planning a vacation on the Outer Banks.

my husband and I have been trying to get a 'family vacation' set up for several years. We have 2 children...6 grandchildren . Our son is a police officer, our son in law an air traffic controller.Getting vacation schedules together has not been easy but we finallly managed this year. Our stay at Dawn Treader was so wonderful, we immediately booked again for next year. Our daughter and her husband wanted the same experience with his family. Although they couldn't get Dawn Treader for the week before us next year (so they wouldn't travel back and forth to NY) they got another rental 5 streets down for the week before and will meet us at Dawn treader. We are in Florida....All of our children etc and son'in'laws f

We loved this house! We had lost of babies so the high chair and the gate was a nice feature. The kids all had great rooms and the adults felt like they were staying in a luxury hotel. We enjoyed the quiet cul-de-sac and the privacy the house had. There were a couple of things that stood out to us like the TV situation. It was great to have on in every room but the central located TV's should have been larger to allow for family movie watching. It was hard to gather more than 3 people around the upper or middle level TV's. Also, something simple like laundry baskets would be nice, since the laundry is on the lower level. There were so many great features in this house and will spread the word about this to our friends. Thanks for the great stay! Oh and the cleaning crew that came in to reclean the floors were wonderful!! Thanks again Southern Shores!

Dawn Treader is an absolutely beautiful home with all luxuries! In addition we especially loved the multiple decks, the privacy, and the very short walk to the beach. The pool and hot tub were a delightful beach break. However better pool furniture would make the area completely fabulous! Our children enjoyed the daily wiffle ball game on the property as well! The location was wonderful just a quick ride for dinner or shopping! Grea time great memories made!
